I'll believe what Liam says if they release a press statement. It's hard for me to trust his words in an Ukrainian radio interview.

DJ Maxim
http://blogs.ocweekly.com/heardmentalit ... dj_set.php
and
Quote: As his DJ gigs started becoming more of a staple, it inspired Maxim to go back in to his studio to produce and write original material as well as remix other artists he's discovering along the way including female MC Cianna Blaze, who he's added to his live repertoire. He continues, "Vocals have been so much a part of my life, that I thought it would be a cool idea to have an MC join me on stage to be my voice." This material will be launched under the we Are noize (wAn) imprint and to get fans excited for the upcoming tour dates. Read more at http://hangout.altsounds.com/news/16210 ... 6rEb1Zw.99

It would take probably ten times quicker for Maxim to make the new Prodigy record than Liam. Considering he's been bursting out his solo tunes lately in between them being constantly "in the studio, album starting to shape up, experimenting"
But then again. It would be all trap.
Nah, just kidding. I'm not even anticipating the new record that much. Maybe the buzz comes back when (if) they release and official statement. Eager to hear Maxim's solo stuff, though!

I do wish Maxim was involved with some production with Prodigy material. I quite dig his first release "Hell's Kitchen." "Dominant Genes" has a Prodge vibe. If him and Liam tackled tracks like that together... could be pretty immense. Maxim had some banging beats... such as the track I mentioned along with "Prism," "Dog Day," "Hadrian's Wall," etc.

Yeah, I hear what ya saying... it's probably a whole new ball game for him. I mean, sure he's DJ'ed backstage with the mates for shits and giggles. But now to go in front of people and do it professionally. And hopefully him sounding nervous means he's a more hands on DJ when mixing live and actually does some intricate mixing than these standard A-B-A-B "on to the next track" kinda DJs. He's been doing the MC thing live for years, so that's east street for him. And even when he joined The Prodigy, he was already a pretty well-established MC doing his own thing where he came from. I'm glad to see Maxim branching out and trying new things. Would love to hear some new beats. Too bad there's no east coast dates on his visit to the U.S. Damnit! Maybe he can sneak a Prodigy white label in there hehehe.
Plus it's not a "Maxim discussing The Prodigy" type of interview but a "Maxim discussing Maxim" interview. Now he has to get personal and respond. If it was "Maxim discussing The Prodigy," we would just get the generic BS statements about how they're all about the energy and the crowd and the album is coming along and they're writing new stuff with doyouknowhatimean?'s crammed between every other couple of words... DoyouknowhatImean?

Do you just like being a twat when people are having a discussion?
Apparently you have difficulty reading anything more than a sentence or two. You seem to love and follow me around these boards to make a snide remark pointing out how you didn't read what I wrote because it's too long compared to your standards. If you would be so kind to show me where I copied the post of mine above your snarky remark from when I was responding to something Mowgli wrote before me and had nothing to do with you. I didn't realize that I compared Maxim having similar beat styles to Liam's before and apparently in essay form. Is discussion forbidden? Is this Twitter where we are held to only 117 characters when we post?
I deeply apologize for going off topic to respond to a cunty remark made in this thread.

Back on topic...
please, let us continue the Maxim interview discussion...
The whole "imperfections" question was a little weird. Wonder what this interviewer considers "imperfections" when it comes to The Prodigy live show. I mean, they jam out and try different bits and ideas and stuff like that. But "imperfections" is a strange term to use. For the main tracks live, it's all pretty much standard when it comes to the current live Prodigy shows. I could see his point if this was the earlier days before Fat Of The Land when shows felt a bit more... well LIVE lol... and unhinged. When they were more open and changing things up. But now it's all pretty much by the numbers live.
