I’ve thought about this topic for a while and the reason I’ve held back from posting it is because it may or may not be nice reading to the powers that be that inform the band what the fans really think but I reckon it should give a good barometer of the fans feelings here.
So really how excited are you about a new album by rating it out of 10?
Are you as excited as you were before AONO or IMD?
What made you excited back then and not now?

The lead up to the release of IMD was very solid, lots of tracks played live, video interviews with the band, actual release dates.
With this one it feels like we've been letdown a lot by band quotes and live tracks haven't been that exciting

its hard to gauge how excited you are when they haven't played a new full length track yet. Hopefully when festival season starts up they'll be playing some full tracks. But I do like what they have given us recently.
And, or course age has a bit to do with it- I heard break and enter for the first time more than hall my life ago. what a fucking moment, chills up my spine. I don't think they'll give me that again.
and as far as seeing that liam picture pop up in this topic… for fucks sake! I can't say their image isn't part of what drew people in originally; but if looks ruled then Id be a Ke$ha or Selena Gomez fan. Its all about the music. (but I agree with everything else you said Hectic).

I don't think they'll give me that again. Mate I was a young fan at 14 when I first heard Break & Enter (only in 2007!) and I was completely blown away. Never heard anything like it and instantly got hooked. I gotta say the 'Jetfighter' track hits home for me and is the only thing I'm excited about so far. Extend it Liam! dufe wrote: and as far as seeing that liam picture pop up in this topic… for fucks sake! I know mate; it was a bit irrelevant, just having a laugh. Yeah they aren't about looks but their style really inspired my look growing up, I still walk with the H-Bomb Tshirt cause of Liam

I'm pretty bored by the whole topic to be honest so I'm not thinking about it. I've been hearing the same chatter for 3 years now & there's no point getting excited until something solid happens.

lately i have not been thinking much about new album or what band is doing..
still, if i collect my thoughts, my mind starts glowing...
Musically-- even if not all new material haven't blown me away, there's still whole new package coming we don't know exactly what is going to be on there...
if it finally happens, it means they are releasing an album they are also satisfied with - and that's all i need to know.
to compare eras - pre AONO and pre IMD.. then pre IMD was more for me, because i was not even "there" when aono happened, i wasn't keeping track at the time.
pre IMD i was as hyped as one can be -- it was first "real" album after FOTL.
still, now can't put less then 10 here, because it's BRAND NEW PRODIGY ALBUM

My interest is diminishing by the week with the lack of info. There has been spikes of excitement but nothing that has replicated the same feelings i had before IMD or even FOTL for that matter. Back in 96 i heard loads of new tracks, buying bootleg tapes just to hear SMBU, Mindfields, Funky Shit, Breathe etc over and over again.
I did think to myself was that just because i was a teenager back then (very impressionable 15 yr old) but when IMD was in the beginnings of promotion, those 2 gigs at Sheffield and Birmingham when Warriors Dance and Worlds on Fire first played. Fuck me the buzz i got from them tracks made me believe that Liam was a genius, again.
This time around i really really want that feeling again. I want to be excited, i want to be playing shitty recordings in my car dreaming of hearing them in studio form. But i can't.
Liam has still not created the 'springboard' track that sets the bar that everything else will be measured by. Until then i can't be excited.
Bottom line, I want to be entertained. Desperately.

Not very excited right now!
But when the release date is set and we'll know for sure it's coming that date, my head is gonna pop off

Same here.
Voted 7/10.
I honestly have lost interest on an upcoming album, so i don't even read the prodigy news anymore...
Once it will be announced though, i think i'll have the same anxious feeling to hear the whole thing, like in the IMD release.

Waiting on that Warriors Dance moment to happen again.
At the moment they've reduced themselves to song titles with 5 year old puns...
Rockweiler? ...Gee it a rest lads.

Im not exited atm, but i will be as soon as get my hands on some new official release. I think that this will be last Prodigy album in this form, so i guess Liam want to release album that will standout. If thats the case, then i dont mind waiting.

yeah was thinking the same. when they release something, i'll get excited. but that "when" is a big "if" and im starting to think imd was their last album. there aint any proper new tracks on their set, just 2 min fillers/bangers and even those arent finished yet (according to LH). rockweiler? doesnt deserve the prodigy's name imo.
