He might have been talking about tunes he never got to play live. Awol, Jetfighter and Rockweiller could still be album tunes as far as we know.

The way Liam has talked about these tunes in the past, how it's still work in progress stuff and that he's still not decided if its even album material, one cannot be surprised, if they are gonna be binned, really.

tl;dr nothing new
Cheers, Chaosu.

not surprising as usual. "we are still working on it"... for how many years have we been listening to that? 2010?. Definitely not coming out in 2014.

I remember when I thought it would come out in 2011 LOL! 2012 seemed like a stretch back then.
Well he said last year was a bad year for writing but he has recently had a growth spurt (lolololol)

don't want to believe he's binned all the previous work.
just another speculation but i believe he can still finish it this year. it was said he is actually happy with the latest results and this is most important.

Blacklabel wrote: News in a nutshell: "Album going well... last year writing wasnt really up to the standard.. but this year it had a growth spurt and Liam now feels quite confident about it... he previously said it was Dark.. but now he thinks it just feels menacing and hard. Probably the hardest sounding record yet".
No release date announced so far. Still working on it. He also said earlier that he "was in the middle of it".

Well he sure doesn't seem to force himself to write something. If inspiration doesn't drop from somewhere he's not going to work for it. So a whole year, which was not good for writing, passed (2013). April is close, whoever thinks we are getting an album this year is lying to himself.
I do think he most likely dropped all the tunes from last year which means we won't even have a single by the end of 2014.

We may not have the album this year, but I'm glad he doesn't force himself to produce. Means we'll get proper quality tunes!

This would be funny if it wasn't true.
The only track that I have had hope for is Jetfighter, it would be a good 2 min intro to the album à la Felix da Housecats Harlot Intro.
Must admit, I'd rather a shit album than wait any longer!

..meanwhile @LH base http://instagram.com/p/l6a8_6rMzO/ :D
but seriously , they should fill the gap with releasing b-side stuff , what's the reason of keeping it somewhere and collecting dust is beyond me
