sorry moonstrider for being a bitch

I don't know what you'd consider "shortly," but here's when each track played before the album's release on February 18, 2009 (in a recognizable state) was first played.

World's On Fire (May 16, 2008)
Warrior's Dance (May 16, 2008)
Run With The Wolves (October 18, 2008)
Omen (December 7, 2008)
Invaders Must Die (December 7, 2008)
Take Me To The Hospital (December 11, 2008)

Non-album but still released tracks.

Mescaline (May 17, 2008)
Comanche (December 8, 2008)

Not sure about Mescaline. They played "Unstopable" at this May 17 show. Mescaline comes letter. Maybe you counting Unstopable and Mescaline as same track.

I am, but even so the finished version was played in 2008.

No. They definitely not played Mescaline at this show. They played if first time 1 or 2 shows latter.

When I said "I am" I was acknowledging what you said about me counting unstoppable and mescaline as the same track. It has the same sound as mescaline so that's why.

Oh and fitting profile pic toX

Anyway, same setlist in Germany.

Yeah, I understand. They are really very similar.

I have one question now. Is Unstopable fan given name for this early version, or prodigy put this name on official tracklist?

Dude, they are the same track. Unstoppable is just an early version of Mescaline, and it made it debut in May 2008. It appeared on the setlists as Unstoppable

Am I the only one who thinks Breathe is a terrible choice as an opening song? Seriously, there were some great opening songs... worlds on fire, wake the fuck up, wake up call, even their law was cool (although it's better at the end), break & enter was cool too for an intro, but breathe? no way.

+1 ;) Break & Enter is my fav prodge track and their best opening tune.

agree with you on this. breathe doesnt work as an opening song. Also think Mescaline would work very well as a opening track

Yeah agreeing with Breathe as a terrible opener.

give me the Usual Suspects into Break And Enter and you got yourself a golden kick of to a Prodigy concert. literally got goosebumps when i got to experience the '05 Edit live during the Their Law tour. when that baby kicked in, shit just exploded. it's just one of those definitive live tracks, opener or not Liam needs to bring it back. i''d prefer it in the set over Their Law or Voodoo People or, hell, even Poison.

And for my own suggestion from personal experience...
I always thought Thunder would make a great opener. not the Dub mix of course. but the tweaked album version played at NYC had this cool intro that built up to the "I hear Thunder" vocal part, which was a very hands in the air moment with everyone singing along and then it just erupted.

even Back 2 Skool has cool build up that'll work as an opener.

Breathe just doesn't have that right build up of energy that a proper opener needs.

wake the fuck up was a killer opener. i remember even i freaked out a bit when it kicked in even though i knew the track. it was like whaaat theee fuuuckk iiit's ooOOOOOooNN!! and THEN it's the right time for breathe. voodoo is even worse. though, i guess not if it'll be the original version, that one's mad. world's on fire is great aswell.. although it's not manic enough or doesnt have that clothes shaking bass which an opening track should have. *hint* smack.

talking about bass.. is it me or is there almost never that much bass on liveshows (not only prodge) as it used to be? like it's so low and pumping through your veins that you almost feel sick and wanna throw up... thats awesome

Donno about it man, but last year at Balaton Sound it was crazy. There were these "protect your ear" signs everywhere before the gig started and I laughed, cause I see it all the time, every year on Sziget and Volt too, but last year it REALLY was very very loud with proper bass too. In fact as I stood in the first row I was wondering if I really might get injured.

Exactly my thoughts.

I'm sure Breathe is an opener because a) it's a single that everyone knows and b) because Keith and Maxim shine on it.

If bringing back older tunes is not an option, I actually think either Omen or Omen Reprise + IMD should be the opener. Both have the energy to start off the show with a bang and of course IMD's "We are the Prodigy" line is perfect for the occasion.

Invaders Must Die as an opener? Ok but only with this nice begining.
