There was an interview at a festival broadcast on TV in the summer of 2008 which I watched and either Keith or Liam said "And it really is nearly finished." about IMD. The was about as final as it got I think until the official announcement some months later...

I won't be happy if the album is not released this year. It's finished so why wouldn't Liam release it? He has already started to promote it by telling the media it's done. Why would he do that if he wasn't going to release it until next year? Better to say nothing. Sitting on a completed album for 5+ months isn't a good idea. There is more chance of it getting leaked.

I think it will be out in November at the latest. Hopefully I'm right.

He is giving the other tracks the 'Rock Weiler treatment' I think.

He has written the tracks, but said he is going over then all again to make sure they are banging. So not 'finished' with production yet.
I reckon end 2014, beginning 2015.

I can't imagine Liam would have got Neil McLellan to come over from New York if Liam still planned on spending months tweaking the final album tracks.

If people want to think the album won't be out until next year then at least they'll be pleasantly surprised if it comes out this year.

yeah but we had the digital download of invaders must die three months prior. all im sayin is that their last official release was take me to the hospital. 31 august 2009. thats half a decade without anything NEW released. they have something new but still they (liam) are reluctant to let us hear it. we just have to wait

Why not? Neil is not the man to master the tracks, he helps producing/tweaking them.

Exactly. He's maybe lending a hand mixing, too, but he's involved in lots of creative things, not the mastering part.

I am more suprised he is involved so late.

Aono he was there at the beginning.... Although I am not sure he was part of the half binned album.

Damn that is too long...i hope the album is worth the wait . If the album is not much better than AONO and IMD i will be very disappointed.
Come on Liam!!! Its 17 years since your last amazing album!!! When will you recover?

seriously think the only really great track on fatland is narayan. i know most people idolize the album but i think imd is just so much better and mature.
