Damn that is too long...i hope the album is worth the wait . If the album is not much better than AONO and IMD i will be very disappointed.
Come on Liam!!! Its 17 years since your last amazing album!!! When will you recover?

seriously think the only really great track on fatland is narayan. i know most people idolize the album but i think imd is just so much better and mature.

At its time it was amazing . SMBU , Firestarter , Breathe , , Mindfields , Funky shit .
IMD better? come on...seriously?

I never heard that opinion before :-D
I'm not gonna make a list about what I feel is way smarter in FOTL as that would make for a really long one, but I'm gonna say that IMD is not a bad record. BUT - the funk, the great arrangements, the weird sampling, the atmosphere, the spot on mixing and the totally new sound FOTL delivered is in NO way as much as touched by IMD. It's an okay record with not much depth and wayyyy too fluffy drums that almost sound like white noise. Really shitty mixing, no great sound design.

I'd agree that if the new record ain't better than AONO or IMD I'd be disappointed.

Correction!

last single release was IMD 30.november 2009!

And then we got WOF live in 2011

and the all wonderful Added Fat EP in 2012 - which was the really last release!

So it haven't been that quiet really, just lack of new material!
They should really get with the times and release an EP digitally every 6-12 months!

i think mindfields is worse than omen. but the very worst track ever is the way it is. michael jackson prodigy rework? jesus whose brilliant idea was that?

yeah as a matter of fact I listened to imd a lot more than fatoftheland. so that's why I say i think its better. TO ME. And when I listened to fatland, most of the times I skipped serial thrilla and minfields cause i dislike them so much. When i listened to imd i never skipped a track. So yeah, to me its better.

It's amazing how people get into arguments over personal taste.

From a design perspective FoTL is more advanced but I prefer the tracks on IMD

To each his own!

But Mindfields worse than Omen… that's like saying Mozart was worse than Bieber.

Mindfields is one of the greatest Prodigy tracks to this day. The down pitched shuffly Amen bits, the change of atmosphere to the end, this synth sound that I still don't understand, the 007-sample, the well placed bass bits… It oozes style. Never heard a track that sounds alike. Omen? Heard plenty of screechy high pitched stuff like it. It's a terribly commercial track that makes my teeth fall out. The songwriting, the sounds, everything is just sooo simple and awful. I thought it was a joke the first time I heard it. And IMD is just so full of same sounding stuff, it kind of drags on and doesn't do anything clever. The smartest thing on it is the Pepe Deluxe sampling and the (arguably) the childrens choir in Colours. Take RWTW, it's so monotone and nagging, it's the point where IMD gets switched off finally.
