I guess the album is done.
I wonder if they mastered the album yet.
It looked like they were just putting the finishing touches and doing the final mix.
Curious who will do the final master and where.
Maybe Liam and co. will come over to the NYC to master the album at The Lodge with Neil.
When I saw that vid Liam posted of Eagle Break with what sounded like the end of a track at the start of it, I was wondering if they were doing a final playback before moving on to the mastering phase.
It would make sense if Eagle Break is a 3/4 of the way into the album cinematic little filler/moment to catch your breath as in the same style as Omen Reprise.
It would mean the order of the album was final and ready to ship off and move into the final mastering phase before printing and all that jazz.
If Neil is now in the States, it would seem that the album really is finalized.
Hmmm late January/February release?
I'd think we would be getting some sorta official news in the next month or so.

They didn't even start a proper marketing campaign for this album but it's not too late for it. I doubt that we'll get the album before ends year although I was pretty certain at one point. We have no name for the album, nor artwork shown, no single, no track list, time or number of tracks. If they push the acceleration a bit we can have all of this but I don't think it will happen too soon.

I thought Liam posted that there will be twelve tracks...
hence the album might be called "Dirty Dozen" since they said something about wearing the name already.

it's good to read and hear alpa these news, but i would wait before projecting a date release. We do not even know how many tracks are there, if it is really ready. This time the band told us not so much about this album, they have just shown us some music (live as Awol and Rockweiler) and revealed more previews (per FB or instagram and so on). I remember that there was more to say about Aono and Invaders, i mean, more interviews and stuff. I don't know why, but this time, it seems more a mystery, which can be very good, but i would simply wait, anyway.

No, people just correlated what Liam has said in an interview (8 tracks people havent heard) with the remaining tracks played live and came up with the album having 12 tracks further supported by the possible title "Dirty Dozen".
There was no official word from the band that the album would have 12 tracks though.

back in 2008, this happened on fourth of November.
Quote: Hi everyone It's the news we have all been waiting for. We can now tell you the new album is called "Invaders Must Die" and will be released on The Prodigy's imprint, Take Me To The Hospital, through Cooking Vinyl, on March 2nd. Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim all feature on the album, which is the first time since the release of Fat Of The Land in 1997. The result is back to their bone shaking best, a collision of old skool rave noise with the stratospheric limits of new technology.
And this happened on 10th of November.

so. probably not very long until it's going to explode.

I believe they will do it in New York studio which Neil co-owned. They mastered IMD and AONO there too.

Metropolis Mastering is in London.

I'm pretty sure I read that 'Invaders Must Die' was mastered at The Lodge but Liam didn't like the end result so they mastered it again at Metropolis Mastering.

Yes, he didn't like the sound (I think he had Emily Lazar do it again, who fucked up the AONO master, already, which Liam credits as being partly the reason for AONO being what it is) and then gave it to Metropolis. I still think it sounded crappy, but that's due to how masters have to sound, these days. Loud and square-y. I liked what The Exchange did on Prodigy's previous records. Loud, but defined. Well, IMD isn't the sort of material you can 'define' well in a mastering session, anyway, it's just so white-noisy.

Liam liked the "loud" mastering of AONO. He wanted it loud and that's why he went to Emily Lazar at The Lodge. He obviously liked it as he went back to Emily Lazar and The Lodge for IMD's mastering. After it was mastered Liam decided IMD didn't sound right with the "loud" mastering so he then went to Metropolis Mastering.
