Absolutely agreed on the beats portion and it was most likely me complaining about the white noise beats on IMD. I really liked the vibe, but I hated the overall sound of the record. Too much of everything, no defined, precise drum hits, just a wishy washy mix of things that became a constant square. It was quantity over quality, uncontrolled chaos over the finely tuned mayhem of FOTL. I know I'm constantly dissing everything post FOTL, but come on, it's not like the difference in the quality department regarding the beats ain't hearable. Diesel Power is the perfect example of PHAT (I used it too) beats / bass amalgamation. Both are fine tuned to each other. Excellent mixing and production work. To this day I'm not sure who actually did that. Liam? Or Neill? My guess is Liam, but well, then he must have gotten immensely lazy or must have forgotten how to make a good or better - a PHAT sounding beat.
Fat Of The Land didn't get its title for nothing.

It was a precise, funky, phat and even somewhat dynamic record, and IMD is hectic, all over the place and compressed to shit, leaving us with this wall of white noise.

I want bassdrums like in Funky Shit, beats like in Diesel Power. But I guess, since Liam doesn't sample anymore, there's just preset drums now, and no beat crafting, just beat composition.

Still, the new stuff sounds much better than AONO / IMD-era material.

Maxim and the Sleaford Mods have already said its next year, they could go the same route as IMD, which looks like it could be likely.

I have an impression that Liam's a huge James Bond fan. He's been posting a lot of Bond-related pictures on Instagram lately, and a while back pictures of a Roger Moore action figure "helping him out" in the studio sessions.

I think it's likely we have at least some track with Bond influences or samples, anything related. He sampled a JB score for Mindfields so why not again

Was there any clothing the band ever used, that can be in any way connected to Bond, then? Just in case the Dirty Dozen one doesn't work out...

I am currently leaning towards the opinion that these pictures are not clues at all, but are in fact random messing about from a distracted Liam wasting time instead of getting on with the masterpiece.

A bit like me back in the student days, messing around on FaceBook instead of finishing essays. Which would unfortunately result in me ultimately rushing the essay in the early hours and doing a substandard job....
