Omen and imd were among the best tracks they did on imd.

And THAT speaks volumes about the rest of IMD.

Omen is the worst moment of Prodigy for me. Squeeky, terrible melody, uninspired sounds. Really childish sounding tripe. I'd take an album with BGAT repeated ten times in a row over an album with only five seconds of Omen or IMD any time.

Yes finally some venom from these bad boys! Getting wet over all this info! Punches to the faces of all the fakes! Liam's staying true to his roots of grafting hard and re creating cultures that have got tired! Roll on these few months! <H^z/\/\

Their opinion on DJ culture worries me, does their knowledge extend to a quick flick through Maxim magazine or something?

For me it shows just how out of touch they are with what's going on. There are tons of good things happening at Ibiza each year, it's not all Guetta, Avicii and all those other cuntflaps.

Ritchie Hawtin's ENTER nights for example are some of the most forward thinking in electronic music. With massively talented artists like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Gaiser, Luciano, Dixon, Paul Woolford, Magda... And then you have a host of other smaller curated nights paving the way for new and exciting underground artists to push through.

The fact they have cunts like Zed's Dead, Skrillex, Caspa and Jaguar skills supporting them at gigs only confirms my point. They're out of touch with what's going on underneath the skin of electronic music at the moment.

They need to quit with this 'USB DJ' bollocks, they're just contradicting themselves. They're not doing themselves any favours by tarring them all with the same brush like that.

i see your point. but i think things what are underneath have never been main problem in their eyes. it's the 95% other stuff.. that mainstream bullshit. like eurodance was in the 90s. they always try to oppose to BAD trends. it's like their business model.

you might be right tho, they can be arrogant and seem not be really bothered about many news things. but that has always been like that. they more often praise rock bands than electronic ones.
i liked that Liam fell in love with Justice back in a day, that was cool. but i think he will never fall in love with plastikman. what ever that guy does, he's never enough rock'n'roll for him. and that probably applies to other guys in ibiza as well. and that bone seems to taste good to him.

i also don't like that they voluntarily line up with guys like skrillex, zeds dead and jaguar skills. but also again, i don't think they are really bothered. they are probably just trying to put together lineup they think most youngsters will like.

Depending on when in February it is released that's 3 to 4 months away. 3 months is a quarter of a year. 4 months is a third of a year. Either way, it's ages away for something that is nearly done.

I'm one of those guys and although i remember the FOTL era better i loved the MFTJG era and album more.Poison was unbelievable. The problem is that with albums like AONO and IMD they dont really succeed on the 15-20 yrs olds as much as they should. Btw i know more people of my age who still buy their cds , than the young ones and this is not because of piracy.

I find it interesting to study the demographics at Prodigy gigs - I am 34 and still see plenty of faces that look older than me (which is a relief because I worry I may be too old for that sort of thing). But there are also loads of kids there that could almost be my own. I wonder how closely the music sales demographics match the ticket sales.

Personaly i dont care about how much $ the band makes. If they dont throw them around they will have enough for their grandchildren.
I just do not like the fact that most people who listen to music and are under 25 , because they do not know most of their 90's songs they do not give to the band the credit they deserve. First it was a surprise to me too but dont forget that someone who is 25 now , he was 8! when FOTL was out. What was MFTJG and FOTL for us it is AONO and IMD for them.

Today it's only about how much you care to look into a band's discography. You don't have to buy the albums, you can stream them via Spotify or Youtube whatever, very easy to access. It's probably true that many young people only show up at gigs because the latest album might be trendy at the moment. And then scream "hey, this is an unreleased demo, it must be" when hearing No Good or something.

But then again you can't really tag that to everyone. I'm 21 now and started listening to The Prodigy 8 years ago when I was 13. I only heard a couple hits first and was hooked instantly. Then I pretty much tried to dig out every song I could find from them and by the time I was 16 and saw them for the first time live I knew it all. So it's up to the fan how much he wants to commit.

People under 25 probably don't appreciate the prodigy's older albums? I think you've got a bit old there my man. I'm 27 and worshiped the first 3 records for almost 10 years before AONO came out.

Maybe an 18 year old or so perhaps. I went to a fancy dress night last year dressed as Keith Flint (stars and stripes jumper, green devil hair, black eye make up, the lot...). I was out having a cig and talking to a group of young blokes who were sniggering at my outfit. When I said "you know who Keith Flint is right", I had to explain further when they looked at me in utter confusion, but after 5 minutes they still had no fucking idea.

I almost went home in disgust! But then again, maybe my costume was just so shite they couldn't see the likeness.

I meant something else...maybe i did not write it well. What im trying to say is that because AONO and IMD are not so succesful as the old ones , young audiences do not care to search for the past of the band so much as they should. Imagine if IMD was much better.More people would care to buy it or listen to it online and search for the old albums and give the band the respect they deserve.

If the track is a badass club anthem.... it might turn a few heads, actually...

if it's just typical Liam Howlett post 90's weak beats sauce... nobody will care.
