man track titles dont mean shit, i bet half of them will change into something even dumber.. id prefer if all of them were dumb titles and liam just said 'fuck it' rather than overthinking it

the most misleading title ever, should have been called rock and roll

YBUMW is actually spot on.

But yeah, its not like Firestarter and Funky Shit are killer titles. Anyway, nobody's expecting depth from these guys, especially in that department.

No Souvenirs was probably one of the coolest titles ever. And we'll never get to hear it, lol.

Probably nothing but John Davis of Metropolis (who mastered IMD) retweeted Liam´s latest update from the studio, probably meaning that the mastering has been scheduled to start soon there.

Aye, point taken on the tacks names everyone haha.

They're not as bad when you put it into context against the rest.

I think the whole new Knife Party album is self-ironic because most of the titles are just dumb as fuck. And there was a snippet from a disco-styled new track from them that had a robot computer voice saying "What is this disco shit, what the fuck happened to the dubstep?" etc etc.

And the Aphex titles are what they are. Containing the BPM's and everything haha.

Most of The Prodigy tunes are quite stupidly named if you really look into them but it doesn't matter as long as the music is rocking.

and not just track names, lyrics aswell. if you take it out of context most of the lyrics make no sense. "breathe the pressure. come play my game i'll test ya. psychosomatic addict insane" or "you're world's on fire. you're too close to the wire" or the inlay texts in FOTL artwork. it just looks/sounds cool and that's it. i think keith stated that very nicely in an older interview (more or less like this) "if the music is coming to you directly 100 mph, there's no time to start looking for some deeper meaning in it"

yep, it's all good as long as lyrics looks/sounds cool, along with album theme\imagery

in the 90s it was dark and mysterious, straight dark power. and it fitted to music and everything very well.

with AONO, imagery\look\feel was perhaps the strongest part of this record. in my opinion. it added really well to the music. "the cool and sexy" factor was highest with this album.

with IMD, lyrics, imagery and all that was like crash between celebration and energy, brighter energy. it wasn't dark, neither was it really cool and sexy like AONO. to be honest, it didn't leave a really strong mental picture.(like all albums before)

with future album, i hope that the energy, lyrics and imagery goes back to darker side. something dirty, nasty, dark and noisy. (track titles kinda hint that)
i really hope we'll get something what feels kinda underground again. far away from what is going on in the mainstream.

The Prodigy will never be mainstream again. They are a niche market now. Every dance music producer over the last 10-15 years should cite Liam Howlett as a principal influence. The Prodigy fans are loyal. We have to be, to here this long after 6 years yet our hunger has never diminished.

Everyone is older, matured. The 16 yr old that bought IMD and blown away by it is now 21 or 22. His ears exposed to a wealth of high quality productions.

Liam's biggest challenge is to blow that mind again against everything else that has happened in between. This is why its hard to be that good again. Liam has set unmeasurable standards. I believe he's going to do it.

I'm ready.

Do not make it seem like it was prewritten for the band to become a niche market. It was Liam's fault mostly. Yeah times changed, the dance scene is long dead but if you release an album every 6 years and the last 2 do not have a jaw dropping single that will attract a non die hard fan well what do you expect?

The last Daft Punk album was not so good 4 me as they say. But because of a good first single people loved it and many new young ones got to learn the band.

All start with the material the band releases and how long it takes between the albums. If Liam was smart he could at least release a single around 2007 and 2012 like BGAT but something better , for more than the die hard fans. Also to keep the people interested.

Thanks for the info and scans :bigthumb:

Really looking forward to hearing the collab atm. Should be filthy! Lots of swearing I'm imagining :ana:

If album is 'pencilled' for Feb now then possibly a single for December :?:

This one is gonna be good, love the collab with those two punk rappers, forgot their name, too lazy to google. I hope for something violent and jaw dropping, where you just lean back and let yourself fall into the music. AWOL Beats and Rockweiler sound really promising and I still hold my fingers crossed for "The Day" :?
This one's gonna be good, getting really excited once again :!:

Cheers to those who post the real news
