Though he said on the article that the current DJ scene doesn't bother them.
While posting David Guetta memes, making a track like Ibiza and a quote from another article "Millionare DJs. I fucking hate them."

I think they just don't respect the DJ scene of today that much an consider themselves to be in a whole other league. Maybe a little above the rest since they at least do a live show.

Yes, I guess they hate the whole "Ibiza" culture/attitude...i think it's an uncool message to the audience, for the reason that it ain't right to hate people who suffer from autism. :heidi:

True.
I like the attitude (and generally agree with not liking the acronymization of DJ's = Rockstars) but the way they talk about that it feels a tad too forced and 'I want to be angry'.
Short, precise attacks, not broad strokes.

it's only beginning, we haven't heard the music yet.

the "broom effect" worked best in the 90s, i don't think it has worked so good in last 10 years. i love the idea it becoming a reality again.

two of their best albums MFTJG and FOTL was written to fight against bad things going on in music musiness. Bad rave music with jilted and eurodance with FOTL.

they work best when they are opposing themselves to current trends.

i just hope they really have the firepower!!!

I guess if the album's finished then, all that's left is to finalise the artwork and new Logo (There's always a new Logo/font for every album so far)

And then it's just a case of marketing, building hype, letting magazines have copies and then PUBLIC SALE!!!

I'm hoping for release no later than February, like IMD.

Really happy that the album is done. The way Liam is talking is exciting, he's obviously very confident with the new album and I like that. I think this is going to blast everything else out of the water!...

I hope we get an album title, track list and release date announcement before Xmas...

it's not negative what i'm going to say now, it's just that i don't understand why Liam should necessarily find a reason why this album should come out. I mean, I agree about the fact that djs are useless and do not give any message, but I personally would not do an album about it. In AONO, what was cool, ahas the fact that there was not any message, it was just "about the beats and the music" and this was fuckin' great message. Anyway I hope that new album will rock and the premises are good!

Well I think it's more about how there are all of these "great" electronic producers out today in the scene, but none really have the status The Prodigy has. The whole scene just sounds the same now when it comes to commercial EDM. it's kinda like the early 90's when electronic music at the time all started to sound the same and every artist was just copying the other's formula for easu success. I think Liam wants to do what he did with Jilted and break the formula. Bring something to the scene that's different and harder than what is considered heavy these days. The scene has turned claustrophobic, a very similar situation Liam was in back with Experience and how Charly saw a surged in what was considered cartoon rave. People just repeating what he did without understanding the true essence of what Charly was actually about. I think Liam wants to get some cred with the current generation's scene. I don't know, but I do see a reason for this album. The Prodigy are considered kings of electronic music. And here are all of these new artists that everyone is raving about trying to say that they are the greatest. Well Liam wants to show what being the king is really about. And you need to deliver. A lot of the scene now is faceless, except Skrillex's haircut and folks wearing masks to perform. There's no new defining artists really these days.

All true but in order for this to happen Liam must write an album that wont please just us,the die hard fans but also people who listen to music in general.
I remember when MFTJG/FOTL came out people that i knew and loved metal and hip hop liked breathe, their law, poison ect and bought the albums. He needs at least 2 amazing singles to draw attention otherwise his message will be discussed only on this forum and his midnight parties, not on the dancefloors and streets. That is the bet for Liam...and when i mean amazing singles,i mean something so good like the impact the singles from the 90's album had. Not Omen or WD or TMTTH lol
I'm sorry i know it might sound harsh for the younger fans but the truth must be told.
