All true but in order for this to happen Liam must write an album that wont please just us,the die hard fans but also people who listen to music in general.
I remember when MFTJG/FOTL came out people that i knew and loved metal and hip hop liked breathe, their law, poison ect and bought the albums. He needs at least 2 amazing singles to draw attention otherwise his message will be discussed only on this forum and his midnight parties, not on the dancefloors and streets. That is the bet for Liam...and when i mean amazing singles,i mean something so good like the impact the singles from the 90's album had. Not Omen or WD or TMTTH lol
I'm sorry i know it might sound harsh for the younger fans but the truth must be told.

Nah, I hear ya and I agree.
Omen, WD, TMTTH... those weren't the tracks to captivate the younger generation.

I'm hoping Liam can at least crush IMD and AONO with this new album.
If he can do that, I think that would be good enough for me.
If he can make an album that necessarily doesn't surpass Jilted or FotL but can sit up nicely with them, I'd say job well done mate.
That's all I hope for.

Thing is, back when Jilted came out the dance/electronic music scene was still at a point where there really wasn´t that much crossover stuff like Poison or Voodoo People that married all these disparate genres like hiphop, rock and the techno together so perfectly. Same with FOTL which took those concepts even further and caught the attention of the general public even wider.

These days its a whole different environment altogether as everything has been heard before a million times, not to mention that The Prodigy´s sound has been imitated to death over these years, so it is harder to break out like that with equal caliber work.

Hoping for the new album to be a timely reminder of what made those 90´s albums to blow my mind back in the day but still want it to be its own thing and bring something new to the table.

The last tracks to have impact were smbu and breathe.
The last tracks that people actually know as hits are omen and invaders.

This album better be good if he wants the first.

He doesnt have to write something revolutionary again...he can at least write a couple of single-mega hits that will draw some attention to non die hard fans. He failed to do it with AONO and IMD. At least he seems very excited this time. Who knows? He might surprise us.

About Laydown...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfT3nSTXffk

Someone just added vocal sample.

Im so happy that he gave this cheap, basic trap tune to Same Old Sean :)

And now lets forget about The Day, Jetfighter etc. ;) I dont want to hear even samples of these tunes on the new album... I want something completely new, fresh, unheared ;) + Awol as an bonus track or bside.

That sounds wack as hell.

It's clearly a fan made rework of The Day cut lazily into Laydown.

You can hear the different parts very easily, just a copy-paste job. Shit, they've even got different BPMs!

times has changed and master H knows. no longer can he afford to play 3/4/5 tracks for the new album live like he did with IMD. i think none of the snippets we heard live will be on the album (maybe, but still maybe in some other form but hardly recognizable). i honestly think master H has a full album with never heard prodigy tunes for us to be released.

the tracks he did live were only to scan the reactions of the crowd. those tracks were not full and finished tracks but mostly were a bunch of nice beats with some cool samples edited in. i think master H sees that his new beats were not adapted by his audience and decided not to use them. good for us tho he didn't put them in the recycle bin but allowed other musicians to use them. imho something he had to be done much earlier with tracks like Trigger, Nuclear, Rock 'n Roll, etc. which were disappeared like fuck.

Trigger was amazing...reminds me of BGAT which is a badass song but works only for the die hard fans.Shame we do not have a studio release.

Nuclear and trigger:
Lets just say I don't think these tracks were meant as 'finished' versions, just raw demos. They do not sound like full finished prodge songs. Too much repetition, no extra sauce, no variation, except at the cool end.

nuclear and trigger were Liams fail attempt to make guitar music. he understood it's not their thing. these tracks weren't about beats and bass.
