So if people ask Liam about the new record he says "dark, brutal, violent sounding", which is interesting, but I wanna hear him say "it's creative, it's got a new sound, I've spent a lot of time thinking about the sound I wanted to get and really dug deep". I don't care about violent, I care about sound quality and freshness, unexpected stuff. Most violent music (e.g. breakcore) often lacks in overall sound quality, so not a criterium.

...is not gonna be headline material. You're not going to say this when you're trying to peak interest in a record. This is something you get into with a more in depth sit down interview. Not for short blurbs to help in selling some records. I like the sound of a violent record. Sounds like the boys aren't playing it safe with this one.

Well, headline material sounds quite boulevard and talking about being proud of your creativity is probably all but that, which should make it even more appealing to a band that has its roots in creative sampling, weird chord progressions and twisting up the mainstream.

It's just too easy to use buzz words like 'violent', 'brutal', 'smahing' etc., that's what too many bands do already, so no, not interesting enough. But yeah, it's another band than 15 years ago, so maybe that's what they do now.

Btw.: Playing it safe... They never did that, far as I know.

You use the word amazing very easily bro.IMD was decent,not amazing.That is why it had no serious impact to the scene. But for some reason i think this album will be really amazing too. I do not know why i think of this because most 2010-14 live songs except Rot were garbage.

I believe this record will be better than IMD and AONO but I doubt it'll be what I would find amazing, judging by the style of the snippets we had so far. Although, gotta say, that sunlight riff actually was a glimpse of that amazing Prodigy-spirit. Mysterious, 3D, gritty, defined, energetic.

I'd love to have a slow, powerful track again, like Poison or Diesel Power were.

I just hope they didn't fuck up the mastering again and dare to be dynamic again.
