Total shit. Anyone that is holding this up as a decent Prodigy tune is deluding themselves. Don't give me any of that "you haven't heard it live yet" crap. A shit tune is a shit tune, live or not. This is far too formulaic and even more of a self parody than BGAT ever was.

The track sounds gimmicky to me.

The guitar synth sound uses the minor pentatonic blues scale with the triad, popular in the 1910s (lol) and the 2000s so it already sounds a bit dated to me.

As far as I can tell the drums have been ripped straight off Omen which have quite a distinctive sound and so it lacks originality.

It sounds like a pop song, very tame sound in comparison to what gets played on the radio. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing if you're into pop music, but I don't feel like it's groundbreaking or slightly offensive sounding which is something I'd associate with Prodigy's older stuff. The Prodigy used to be trendsetters, this just sounds a bit tame and familiar to me, it feels a little like something Labyrinth would write.

Dynamic range, hmmm, the whole thing is either quiet or loud, with the majority of it being loud. It's either quiet and no beat, or loud and a beat. There's no flow to the track. Compared to tracks like Breathe where there's a bit of structure and the dynamics change regularly, Nasty just doesn't compare.

What I did like was that little break at 1:58 just after what I assume is Maxim but does sound like Keith doing a weird Jamaican accent "I aint no tourist". The bit that follows that sounds like nothing I've heard and I reckon if you developed that you'd get something interesting and original. It sounded dark and got me excited, when I first heard it, that the track was about to take an interesting turn, but then that stupid guitar sounding riff pops in again.

In 20 years time, people won't be listening to this and thinking it sounds fresh, I still put Fat of the Land and Jilted Generation on every so often and think how great those records are. I don't think this is going to be an album the Prodigy will be remembered for.

Its better today. But still not amazing.

After listening to it 300 times...
I believe that when the album is out only a few will stuck with Nasty.
I will stop from trying to explain why this is not a very good prodigy song.

I'm happy to see that most of the people who lived the MFTJG and FOTL days and not just listened the albums later all together,agree that Nasty is not a very good Prodigy song. I understand that the old farts want to show that their era's albums where the best and the AONO-IMD noobs want to overtone how good their era's albums are.Has to do with psychology.

*Only thing i insist is that if you lived like me as a teen in the early-mid 90's you can easily see that this is a weak song.
