Jesus. Some of you people have become so desperate for new material from the band that you'll lap up any old shit. Fact is, The Prodigy are no longer originators. Their music doesn't have the wow factor it once had. Unfortunately I was expecting Nasty to be as bad as it is because Liam simply doesn't have the same drive that he once had.

The last truly exciting tune that he made was Back 2 Skool. How old is that now? 10 years or so? Warriors Dance was OK but pretty shonkily produced. They're concentrating too much on how much they want to "rock" their fans, but not focussing on what made them unique, a special hook, sample or vibe. Now it's all just "blah blah blah we're fire, rah rah rah um wire... yeah!"

It's a fucking crying shame to see my favourite band slowly deteriorate into such mediocrity.

A little harsh but some good points made.

basically yes, they became what liam desperately (and probably unneccessarily) wanted to avoid. he vowed never to use vocals like those in no good, then he made warriors dance. he binned bgat and then they make omen

Show me artist/band which have this, except tomalnd guy cause he is better at production than liam h.
All dance music in its genres sound more or less same, every genre using same sounds.
And what i dont get is that people were cumming over phone recording of spor remix of nasty, even though it is classic spor dnb tune, really nothing inovative just another dnb remix.
and that melody from spor remix, you can hear something very similiar here from 2007 http://youtu.be/rzM7F78G7n4

Why? One Love and No Good (Start The Dance) were groundbreaking compared to Experience. Firestarter and Breathe were groundbreaking compared to MFTJG. Then there was BGAT, which sounded much like TFOTL. Girls and Spitfire were groundbreaking again compared to TFOTL and BGAT. Omen and Warrior's Dance were groundbreaking compared to AONO. And now there is Nasty, which sounds like Omen and Colours for example in my humble opinion. That does not make it a bad tune, I like it, but it is not groundbreaking. Those who expected something groundbreaking have a history which supports that expectation. There is no need to insult others, especially since you did not provide any evidence for your statement. Respect the opinions of others. Some will like it, others will not. Those who like it might say it is good, while others might call it great. Having a discussion is good, but keep it respectful.

In my honest opinion:

+I love the FOTL-kind of tune at the beginning.
+I love the lyrics. Okay i dont even understand them.
+I love the Piranha-like alien like tune after the lyrics.
+I love the Eagle Break shit and the rasta sample or whatever it is.

-I hate the drums. Its like Breathe with Firestarter drum beats.
-I also hate the electronic weird noise when Keith sings and when the Alien-tune goes to Omen-tune.

I think ill give it a 9/10 because its something new finally.

I think he should just keep Keith from the mic.

What I also don't get: why does keith sound great only on FOTL? what different FX did they use on his voice?

Does anyone else notice a heavy Hounds (http://www.houndsmusic.com) influence on this track?
