What I also don't get: why does keith sound great only on FOTL? what different FX did they use on his voice?

I honestly think that Liam made MFTJG when he smoked mushrooms.

Its so trippy and the tunes sounds so godlike. Theres no way he could not have made those tracks sober. He must have been visiting some real shaman tribes before writing those tracks.

Same with Keet.

Great to see everyone respecting each others opinions.

It's nice being told what to think.

just a note on the leeroy comments;

liam has been quoted as saying he needed to write songs fast enough for leeroy to dance too...therefore had he not been there during FOTL for example, i think its fair to say it could be a slightly different album in places.

with him gone, liam only has to conform really to two things;
the impact of a song live (fast or slow, speed is irrelevant if it bangs)
the inclusion somewhere of vocals...more for keith than maxim i suggest, as that has become an expectation since Firestarter for the casual fan. Alot of whom still think flinty IS the prodigy.

Facts vs. opinions maybe...?

Not at all. When was the last time they made anything fresh? Something exciting? Loads of people in this very thread are saying Nasty sounds like Omen or Run With The Wolves or whatever else. It's just rehashing what in effect was a crap idea in the first place ie. Keith doing his tired old "yeah look at me I'm mental" act. It's been a long time since we've been floored by a tune that is as peerless as Smack My Bitch Up or Poison.

I'm a fan from the early Experience days and I like Nasty, what does that make me?

Either deaf or an imbecile.

I also happen to find Back 2 Skool pretty boring.

See above.

Holy shit! Someone on the internet does not agree with me...! I'm shocked. :shock:

Anyhow, you just proved my point. You know when people say that opinions are like assholes? I'll add that some also smell pretty bad. I now know how yours smells now. :-D

I feel that the real Prodge attitude goes somewhere along those lines: Whether people agree with me or not, fuck'em. :-D

Just been old does not mean you know your music well :lol:
Plus i feel you are too old hahaha!
:gayfight:

I didn't say I know my music well, I just know what I like. And yeah, I'm too old. Anyone who tells you they aren't old enough are fucking teenagers.

I wrote to the director of the video with a few questions and here's what he got to say

Hey, thanks for the message.

The video took three and a half weeks to make (I know crazy) it was a pretty tight schedule . We did however conceptualize and plan it all out a few weeks prior to filming/editing/animating.

The band (well Liam) saw a video I made for a band called Bovine and wanted a video done in that style. Their label sought me out and the rest is history.

some negative comments are just lame. in sense that if artist puts crazy amount work, dedication to into creating something new, then at least try and make some constructive criticism, not just come here after 6 years (Again) and say.. bla bla it's copy of this or that, my god, these drums are fukin plastic, some main elements are so week... and so on..

i tend to see on the net that people who criticize music or some musicians like that think they know a lot, but actually never have had real artistic experience or have failed themselves...
real artist doesn't just bash.. actual artists who have career behind them, who actually know how things work in creative life , they don't criticize other artists like that.. for example.. Noisia, Prodigy, Daft Punk (big names).. all of them have nothing but good to say towards Skrillex.. (for example). does that make any sense?

In-fucking-deed. I'm especially amazed by people who think that they hold the absolute truth. It's also funny when they try to convince others that they're right, like anyone cares.

I'm having such a hard laugh by reading the comments of those who expected a groundbreaking tune. Absolutely delusional behaviour. :lol:

Why? One Love and No Good (Start The Dance) were groundbreaking compared to Experience. Firestarter and Breathe were groundbreaking compared to MFTJG. Then there was BGAT, which sounded much like TFOTL. Girls and Spitfire were groundbreaking again compared to TFOTL and BGAT. Omen and Warrior's Dance were groundbreaking compared to AONO. And now there is Nasty, which sounds like Omen and Colours for example in my humble opinion. That does not make it a bad tune, I like it, but it is not groundbreaking. Those who expected something groundbreaking have a history which supports that expectation. There is no need to insult others, especially since you did not provide any evidence for your statement. Respect the opinions of others. Some will like it, others will not. Those who like it might say it is good, while others might call it great. Having a discussion is good, but keep it respectful.

Tunes in "Experience", "MFTGJ", "TFOTL" "AONO" were groundbreaking compared to the scene&era.
That certainly did not happen with the "IMD" tunes and i think that it's almost impossible to happen with this album either.

It's pretty obvious that the end of the "AONO" era was the beginning of a (normal) decay that every electronic band/project faces.

Yeap, i wasn't much respectful. :wink:
I was almost as rude as the moaners who trash the tune or tease those who are excited the new tune. :roll:

Decay in terms of originality, yeah I tend to agree. But it doesn't change the fact that I love IMD AND Nasty. I'm pretty sure that TDIME will suit me just fine.
