The Day is My Enemy is what I expected to be the track after Spitfire on AONO (first listen). Instead, Liam chose to take a left turn and we got Girls back then, but man, it seems that I finally get to hear that track that just perfectly fits the description that I had in my head during Spitfire. It's fucking bad ass, too.
Absolutely tops most tracks in terms of just how powerful it is, this is exactly what I needed AND wanted. God fucking dammit, I just ab-so-lu-te-ly love TDIME. If this is not what you wanted from Prodigy, I don't really know what else you'd want. This is The Prodigy I truly love, hello old friend.

THANK FUCKING YOU to everyone who sent me the track. BEST prodigy track since fotl. My ears hurt listening to it so loud but it's totally WORTH IT. I just can't believe the band's so fucking stupid not to have had this as the lead single. I guess their decision was made based on Keith's appearance on Nasty

Ok, so after a few listens, I feel bruised.
I feel like I'm being led to a full-on war. It even feels like a march. Seriously, Liam could have named this "Warpath". I guess we now know what he was talking about when he said violent.
I can picture a dancefloor being wept up by this track.

It actually makes sense to not have used this as a single when you have Nasty though. Nasty is way more radio friendy. When it comes down to it, they probably want to get as many people as they can to be excited for the album which would mean putting out a safe track as a single. Nasty was very very safe.
I kind of expected the first single to be pretty much what Nasty is.
Just so happy that we now have TDIME and I really hope the rest of the album is more like this than Nasty!

The Secret Drum Corps really carry this along nicely.

You speak truth!
I love songs where I can make out the sounds being made rather than just a clusterfuck of indiscernible noise.

Liam's been threatening to use drums like this for years, this is a brutal track though, proper raw power
Cannot fathom how hard this is going to sound live

Holy shit, this might be the coolest thing they've released since FotL. Definitely has a mixture of a Jilted & FotL vibe to it and maybe a touch of Exp too. So good!!
Im so excited for the album now.

I would think that "safe" would be doing something fresh.

Wow listening to this tune is like listening to some hidden part of FOTL that I just discovered. So many flashbacks to FOTL stuff, but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Never thought I'd hear anything like this from them again.
If the rest of the album is as good, I'm going to have a lot of happy hours for many years to come like I do when I listen to FOTL.
