so after my rather negative review of nasty (seems like I'm not the only one there) i thought id open here with the positives from "the day is my enemy" track.

1. No Keith flint (hurrah)
2. A glimmer of liam howlett in the production touches / noises
3. marchy drums sample are kinda cool
4..nope thats just about it.

Im going easy on it by saying its not my cup of tea.. I've never been into US rock, and this is closest thing to dumb screamy "f*ck yeh" US rock that liam has ever produced. Papa Roach, Deftones, System Of a down and all that other toss has more in common with this.

Ill offer a handsome reward to anyone that can help liam locate his funk, think it was last seen in about 96 on SMBU.

Also the distortion and overdrive thing is growing old fast..thought this peaked out with ed banger back in around 2006?...

Its weird, reading the fan reaction so far there seems to be a mathematical formula appearing : No keith + prodigy single = amazing

It seems like what qualifies now as a "great" prodigy single/song is no Keith? i totally disagree.. keith or no keith.. The Productions aren't up to scratch.. whilst this is maybe just ever so slightly better than nasty, it feels lacking.. in.. something, heart..true feeling and a honesty with the source material..

i don't feel the connection between liam and this music, its cynical and cold..not for me this one.

Maybe a little off-topic (and posted already in the past), but i loved the massive beat of the live recording of The Day at Brixton.

Now i found this:

Did Liam gave it to them?

Very interesting indeed. I hope someone could come up with some proper info about this.

After multiple of listens nearly close to 50 times and from what i've read so far from peoples opinions of TDIME is that a lot want to compare it to other tracks, I don't think it should be compared to anything The Prodigy have done previous. It should stand alone. I've never heard a viciousness and evilness coming from the speakers. The vocal is ghostly, straight from a horror movie from the 40's. The synths give it a different perspective of light before it fucks your eardrums again re-enforcing that the day is truly the enemy.

Absolutely devastating tune as for me. A bit unexpected, somewhat fresh, and not, even hard to say - weird and screwed up mess in a proper way. Will be waiting for the whole album now to judge in the right way really, because i feel that this is an album that must be played from beginning to the end.

Word.

I've heard it 72 times today. My ears hurt so much but it's worth it!

It's a winner for me. I'm even daring to say "return to form" for Liam. Need a few days or even weeks to be sure but this could by my top Prodigy tune since TFOTL. I thought Nasty was ok but this s a corker.

Could there be better still on the album?

In my opinion this is by far the heaviest, darkest, scariest tune Liam ever did...it has the word EVILNESS written all over It....i expect this beast to be featured in commercials and movies soundtrack....a lot.of them...it.is.way too good....

I dare anyone that claims TDIME is too repetitive to listen to all of Jilted again and honestly say if you still think so.

What has to do with Jilted? Jilted is just pure art, untouchable and incomparable with this stuff. Don't joke. ;)

So you think that tracks such as voodoo people, their law, no good and break and enter are the perfect length, that they never sound repetitive, ever? :?
