dunno why but prodigy tunes are really hard to remix. 3 remixes of nasty and only 1 pretty decend but not more than ordinary dnb remix. yeah spor remix is good technically but nothing original about it. just a dnb remix of a song and i am listening to a lot o dnb

The Spor remix is the only half decent remix they've had done in a long time. Even that seems tame and missing something by Spor's standards. It just seems like there's a massive lack of effort or even respect by these artists who seem to be phoning these shite remixes in.
There've only been a few decent remixes of Prodigy tracks, the best being the chemical brothers remix of Voodoo.

Finally I have the EP, but I want it on physical!! If there won't be any physical singles in this era, I hope a deluxe edition of the album will follow with a bonus CD with all the remixes of the singles!

95% agree. 5% for the fact that I actually think they try. Or there's something wrong with out expectations and we judge artists different than we'd do that usually? I dunno.

Never been a fan of that Voodoo People remix honestly. In relation to that, and your point about Spor, the problem is that the best "straightforward" d&b remix out there is Pendulum's, and that was an entire decade ago. We've has Spor and Sub Focus since then but they both fall in the same trap of not being good enough as a Prodigy remix, while not being good enough as a d&b track either.
(E: forgot about Chase & Status' IMD remix, but that was based on their Smash TV tune anyway)
Also, yeah, Spor's remix was lazy, it's more of a "hey look I'm still here" to the d&b scene than anything else. There's no reason why he couldn't have come up with something under his Feed Me alias, would have suited the track better too.

Still no mention of the release by the official website even though it became available today.
I can take not being able to buy a physical copy of the single but it annoys me that digital releases cost similar to what a CD single cost. CD singles were £1.99 for a 2 track CD or £2.99 to £3.99 for a 4 track single.
http://www.junodownload.com/products/th ... 697498-02/
Charge £4.99 for all 4 tracks in WAV. More than a physical release.
Has anyone found anywhere else to buy it in decent quality?
It's £1.19 for 16-Bit CD quality here: -

Has anyone ever bought from them before?

I have bought from them: Nasty in 24-bit WAV and The Day Is My Enemy in 16-bit WAV.
Once purchasing the items, you can download every format you want (WAV, FLAC, ALAC, mp3, m4a etc) for free, as many times as you want along with cover art (1400x1400 pixels .jpg)
All the file formats are properly titled with metadata, cover artwork etc.
Their service looks pretty good and prices are cheap as well!

Qobuz.com is great, heard many good reviews about them.
They even have a lossless streaming service.

aye it's like: we need a few remixes of nasty. ok, lets do this.
and the real purpose should be: oh shit, i like this tune! maybe i could remix it? if the remix will be good, original and different Liam will add it to the single yay!

Usually, the artists have very little time to pump out a remix, which is why most of them sound like they were made overnight. The Vicarious Bliss remix of Warriors Dance was the best remix of the IMD era and thats not saying much.

How does the process of remixes work in reality?
Let’s say Liam chooses a single track. Than he sends out remix packs to a bunch of artists he chooses. They deliver a track in a few weeks. They pay the artists. Liam chooses which remixes from the bunch will be on the single.
Are the artits free to do whatever they want as a remix?
OR do they choose only the artists that are to be released and release the remix even if they are not that good?
Does the label have a say in the process or is it up to Liam? XL recordings in the past, Cooking Vinyl…
Does anyone with real knowledge know the process?
