Something tells me plans were scrapped and changed due to Nasty's lukewarm response. Most reviews were fairly positive, but still not the kinda praise you want to promote your upcoming album. The band has changed plans before, such as the scrapping of the Thunder single. Liam had his own remix set for the single, but canceled it. Hence all the Thunder remixes we got. I don't think we would have gotten The Day Is My Enemy title track as fast if Nasty's response went through the roof. I think they saw the reaction wasn't going in a "Oh my god! This album is gonna be awesome!" direction and decided that they needed to changed things up. Especially how they really didn't promote the Nasty Remixes release that much. I think we're gonna get another track before the album release. Something that will get the official single promotional backing that Nasty would have gotten. Possibly by the end of Feb, more than likely early March. But just look at Nasty, eBay hasn't been flooded with promos for sale. Sure, you see one here and there. But back during IMD, when Omen got premiered, there were tons of promos floating around. So I think they scaled things back with Nasty and gonna hit us hard with another track. They watch the fan forums and press. Giving us The Day Is My Enemy track was to wipe away any doubt Nasty had created in some people. And I quite enjoyed Nasty.

I kinda like nasty and the day but it seems like fastfood prodigy to me. The day blew me away but gets tired kinda fast. Hopefully the album has a bit more depth to it.

Totally agree with every words. And I also think that we will get another single before the album, maybe it has physicals. But maybe Prodigy won't release singles physically anymore.

I share your impressions and added that the next single will be Wild Frontier for the day February 23, almost a month before the release of the album

A double A sided single would be nice with the next single with the Nasty remixes. And remember, when Omen released it had an IMD remix on the AA side!

Wouldn't it be a bit counter productive to release a single before the album is out? Potentially we would hear 3-4 tracks before the album is out properly. Doesn't make commercial sense imo

Not really, this is the new way of album marketing and pretty common to release multiple tracks before the release date.
I've seen a band release 4 songs from a 9 track album... that's like half an album in advance.
So 3 tracks wouldn't be that big of a deal from a 14 track album (15 if you count iTunes/Japan)
Seems like Get Your Fight On is getting a lot of love and mention during all of this. There was that interesting date anomaly with Wild Frontier and Rebel Radio got some mentions. My money was on Wild Frontier, but I still think they have control over making changes on the fly like they did with Nasty. But it seems like if there's gonna be another track before the release, these are the ones most certainly being considered.

Quote: Have you already got an idea of what’s going to be the next few singles from the album? Or do you maybe listen to what the fans like the most live and drop that as a single? What process do you go through when choosing the singles?
Liam Howlett: WE KNOW WHAT SINGLE 2 IS , BUT 3 WE WILL DECIDE AFTER A FEW LIVE DROPS BUT IT IS BETWEEN 3 AT THE MOMENT BUT IM NOT TELLING U WAT THEY ARE . SOMETIMES ITS OBVIOUS BUT PLAYING THEM LIVE IS BEST WAY STILL
IF Nasty and Tdime were singles nr 1 and 2 then your theory won't be so water proof.. next live in end of the month, if we get anything then in the middle of March.

NEOREV wrote: Something tells me plans were scrapped and changed due to Nasty's lukewarm response. That would seem logical. A fair amount of these "outlets" gave Nasty a really bad score. I sort of think Zane suggested to Liam that they should release TDIME. Anyway, so much for Nasty scoring well in the charts as somebody predicted here on the forum. Jr wrote: I kinda like nasty and the day but it seems like fastfood prodigy to me. The day blew me away but gets tired kinda fast. Hopefully the album has a bit more depth to it.
Hear hear. I too have enjoyed TDIME but it did wear off a bit. Then again, if he is using Omen and Take Me To The Hospital as a template for this album, that only sounds half-promising.

Did I imagine that Nasty was going to be available on a 7" single? or am I getting confused with the album bundles?

the rumour was initially from Nightmare ( see his post here), and evans caught on. but it didn't come out this way (yet), and evans never updated his first post since
either the band changed their mind, or Nightmare was wrong all along

Even if Nightmare was wrong i dont blame him. The band behaves so weird, like they cant decide what to do.
