shame on you old fanz
go away and be any rock band fan
the Prodigy was always about dance music

I don't understand your moaning
I am also old fan and show must go on, we don't get MFTJG vol.2
what did you expect moaners?
this is their best production after TFOTL, it is light in the tunnel
of cours they are repetitive but this is their base of samples
I also couldn't understand it after first leak

lads this is the new Prodigy in new EDM enviroment
still rebel and bangin' my soundsystem

peace

P.S.
I'm waiting for b-side CD ("night is my friend") :) to complete this music journey (sunlight, AWOL and other).

Fucking 100% agree with this mate.

Every album got its own spice, thats what i like about the prodigy. They always find something new and interesting.

And yeah dream on about Night My Friend.

1. The Night My Friend. (Basically the first version of The Day but much better than the Laydown beats)
2. Awol. (Instrumental ofc, maybe with samples)
3. Nuclear bomb. (Nuclear remixed but with the same vocals)
4. RockNRoll. (F yeah)
5. Heatwave. (Guitar version)
6. Rise of the vampires. (Liam H's own Narayan pt2)
7. Enter the minefields. (Mindfields remixed with more futuristic sounds and beats)
8. Show your colours. (Basically the only good part of Colours, done to a full track)
9. The Rhythm. (Track with elements of Poison Fill)
10. Backstab. (New version of Stab)
11. Shadow of the moon. (The Shadow track with the added Atari sounds)
12. Lyrical Terrorist. (Keep it like that)

 I almost want to make my own album. I will propably sound more like Molotov Beatz. I can never ever match the Prodigy. The sound they make is too unique. It pisses me off how they change in every album like its easy. Give me your power Liam! :Firestarter:

ok so I didn't want to comment too much on the album too early, had some rave opinions on it on the first day (BEST ALBUM EVA) and after 48 hours...

nothing changed  they have my soul

I'm so fukin lovin it to bits lovin every track like my children (well except one fucker), it is their best work for me, exactly what I wanted to hear on a Prodigy album - delivering punches and kicks with that military sound full of marching armies going to war, choppers, jetfighters spitfires ;) and space rockets, masterful production with some edge to it

FULL ATTACK MODE LEAVE THEM NOTHING TAKE FROM THEM...EVERYYYTHING

The Day - not a song, more of a statement "I will fuck you up don't come close", love album version when it's not slowed down, tough as it can be ; and I thought I'll be missing trap version /facedesk Banger

Nasty - finally grew on me when put between songs similar in vibe; easy on the ear, catchy with great fills inside, snarly synth is what makes it OK

Rebel - I will remember my reaction when I heard it first time - jaw dropped, shaking head in disbelief I was like WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!? new Firestarter right there, BOOM Banger

Ibiza - smashing tune, laser those lazy edm fuckers and spit some venom while you're at it, works so well with Sleafords ranting on it, perfect match, Liam knows his shit Banger

Destroy - that first beat drop building up like a rocket punch (0:28) is killing me every fuckin time, beats are so fat distorted Deeestroyy fitting so well jesus christ Liam really is an alchemist, wiley's was such a shit tune and was remade into THAT?! fucking hell Liam showing his genius, masterful from start to finish (especially that finish) Banger

Wild Frontier - wew! bit overplayed now, still makes me wanna move, curious how it will work live with Maxim shouting dangerrr Great

Rok-weiler - superb punkish version with some extras added, still finding some new things in it which makes it even more vibrant (that relentless chopper synth starting under Keef vocals on 1:27 and changing throughout, lovin that one) and I'm so glad Liam left that dnbish finish alone, making it a complete banging smasher Banger

Deathray - this thing took me somewhere else absolutely floored me, still making my knees weak when it builds and builds tension and stays on peak, played it simultaneously over Interstellar trailer ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIZpLFPQLLg) and fits too well, that's where it belong cause it's a cosmic epicness Out of Scale

Rhythm Bomb - much needed diversity, I needed that rhythm 8-) it's like what if Prodigy went full edm? workin for me even if it's so clubby, track is clearly done half you half me, Liam really is master at fitting vocals, this one is like it was tailored for this track, making my body move defo Great

Roadblox - thought it was much simpler track after hearing live versions, but there's much more to it (bells meows and stuff), honestly I really like how vicious it sounded with Keith on vocals but album version with Maxim riding it still is tough, don't want to drive home blasting this or I might press gas instead of brake and it wouldn't be my fault  Great

Get your fight on - biggest surprise for me as I was 100% sure I will hate it because it sounded flat live ; what can I say, I'm dumb fuck right, all I had to do was to remove previous versions out of my system (first one was getting old fast too though) ; that intro is so badass and thank fuck that vibe stays on the whole thing, sounds like a tune straight from some fighting game with a lot going on, loving this track more and more every day, get smtn to bite on fuckers Great

Medicine - CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE! glad to hear that unused beat (which is fukn phat) and (possibly) death of yugoslavia riff ; never expected vocals like this on a prodge track, caught me offguard Great

Invisible - very interesting dub with sinister riff all over it making it gritty, the night is my friend should be the title, really can hear at what time it was created Great

Wall - welcome my friends, let's make a riot; chaos causing tune, Keith could simply raise a flag as a Prodigy president and everybody would follow, can't wait for inevitable broken jaws and bones inside wall of death, I'm up for it Banger

Eagles - nah thanks I'll pass, don't like that direction, would prefer diff track here, even south central - day i die remix would fit better Poor

overall 10/10 - beats FOTL, Jilted, you name it, Liam and guys achieved godlike status for me with this one, they deserve all the respect on the street, never doubt in Master H, he's never out of ammo :bringit:

yeah

LH just grabbed his sounds and modern solutions (e.g. from dubstep) and mixed with his power. We have got TDIME.

When i heard about Rhythm Bomb track i thought the lyrics would go like:

Release the beast

Release the beast

Bring it bring the rhythm

Release the beast

Release the beast

Bring the bring the rhythm

Bomb the fucking floor

Destroy the fucking floor

Bomb it with rhythm

Holy shit

(Keith vocals)

Until i saw Flux  Guess im too into FOTL.

Have just been listening to a fan version of Jetfighter on youtube, it's fucking brilliant. Would've loved something like that to have been on the new album. Not that I'm moaning, I just love the track that fan has made, it's amazing. (edit - this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8OjJM0-VRY)

Still sat here comfortably thinking that this is the best Prodigy I've heard since FOTL at least as well, and I think that I might like this more than FOTL really. I just think it's more creative. I accept that you could put almost half of FOTL into this album by replacing tracks, I just like it more though I think.

Beyond the Deathray is fucking awesome too, epic.

This to me is probably why I think this is a stronger album than FOTL :

The Day Is My Enemy,
Rebel Radio,
Destroy,
Rhythm Bomb (don't get why this has had so much hate either),
Roadblox,
Beyond The Deathray,
Medicine,
Wall of Death.

I don't care if FOTL is "heavier", etc, I just prefer these songs over the ones I like on FOTL.

And this is why I'm still baffled. The band have made the type of comeback that I thought was kind of impossible. It's like they've turned the clock back decades. Why can't more bands do this?

Wall of Death is brutal as well, that would've fit perfectly on FOTL.

Sorry : just to add, I don't have anything against FOTL. Diesel Power alone is probably one of the best tracks that I've ever heard. Just thinking about it means that I have to go and listen to it again anyway, haha. It's been a while since I heard it.

If anyone was around when FOTL was released there's no way you can compare this album such is it's cultural significance, in fact fuck comparing any albums as the band are in a completely different world to that era.

With any band when a new album is released it polarises and new/old fans are shed, it can be a matter of taste or indeed growing up and moving on.

After 20 odd years of loving their music some of this album just isn't doing it for me, it sounds formulamatic in parts and comical... then in others it's pure Prodigy energy with loads of venom.

The fact is the music industry is completely different to how it was 10+ years ago, it's now all about playing live and the Prodigy are masters of that.

I'd be really interested to see what's next after this album...

I was around, was that fucked in the head though back then that I probably didn't pay any attention to cultural significance! I get what you mean though, I just don't judge albums in that way.

I was 17, massive influence on me just as MFTJG had a few years earlier but you'll remember how big the band was, a proper fuck-you to everyone in the charts at the time

This album may have the same effect on a 17 year old now, hopefully it will

For me, its nowhere near FOTL. But there are a few tracks on this album who could have been on FOTL. :Firestarter:

So, is the tracklist different?

yeah tracklist is different

The track order is slightly different on the 2x lp. See here: -

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9260&start=45

I still think it will be due to track lengths and fitting them all on to vinyl.
