streamblenda we have the same feeling For me in Strasbourg it was the same, too much lights, no front lights, too much smook, not enough live sounds Maxxim not at his best, Keith in a small mood, Liam just just doing the job As ever, France, for me, is only to grab some more $$, nothing more The show wasn't linked Bref, disapointed

They're still the best band in the world when I look back at the gig. They're still this warmachine that runs over the crowd leaving them breathless and exhausted.
I saw them live for the 39th time and still I get shivers from hearing new material and going crazy to the new beats. They just aren't that big anymore, not able to sell out a relatively small venue in a big european country close to the belgian border. It makes me anxious in a way to see one of the few remaining big acts of the 90's losing a bit of their fanbase. Hope they win alot of new kids with the summerfestivals.
I guess it's normal in times of fakeness, selfies, hipster bullshit, social media, edm, big brother mentality,...that a band with their kind of attitude and realness gets les attention than they used to get. 39 times you've seen them live? Wow, only in France? Interesting. However, I've seen them live eleven times now and during every gig except the first one I have been wearing earplugs. Any other people here done their Prodigy gigs with hearing protection?

Any other people here done their Prodigy gigs with hearing protection? I use earplugs too. One time I've completely forgotten them and by the time the Prodigy came the sound entering my ears was totally distorted! :S

Saw them live in Belgium, France, Holland, UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Russia.
Never wore earplugs, it's like putting a plastic bag over a nice TV

No but they are essential just like condoms. no way if u dont have condoms there's a high probability that some things may not happen. on the other hand, forgetting your earplugs at a concert and going back home? i doubt it. condoms are more like weapons - its okay if you have one and dont need it, but you're screwed if you don't have one and need it

Not so sure...
Before 2009, they play only 3 times in paris; and in 2004, rumors in France said that big band cannot play in France during this time because of Holiday on Ice show which occupied big arenas... Same for the Beastie Boys in 2004, they don't play in Paris for To The 5 Boroughs tour.
