that's why ukraine are going to win this year! serduchka (the ukrainian entry) is a cross dressing middle aged man who sings songs that are popular at weddings

interesting side note on some of the other weird politics in this.

serduchka is a ukrainian nationalist and in his song there's a line in mongolian (really) that sounds like "farewell russia" in russian. as a result russia wanted to block his entry, but gave up in the end!

the ukrainian parliament were also debating whether or not to let him sing because they didn't want ukraine represented by a transvestite!

i agree that it's all shit, but if someone has to win then i'd like it to be a nationalistic ukrainian transvestite. gwaaaan serduchka, fuck the rest!
