If so I will answer any questions about the tape!

Hi Jed,

Would you be able to give some technical information regarding the tape mastering process (if there is such a thing when it comes to recording to tape ! )

Would love to hear some background information regarding it.

Thanks

Hey Jed,

Curious, how did this all come together?
How did you get connected with the band?
When did this all begin?

How would an indie artist, such as myself, get connected and release a tape?

Cheers,
-Mike (Neorev)

Oh fuk, it's way cheaper on juno and they have got very low shipping rate. I order CDs from them a lot, but I never thought they will have the EP.

ah ok, that´s clear. I anyway hope that they´ll be playing the original version. By the way, it´s true, this is probably the best remix ever.

Well I have professionals (30 years in the tape dubbing business) doing the duplication for me. They have the best equipment and its recorded from the masters, onto the actual tape, which is cut to the right length so there is no gap at the end/start of side B. then the tape is loaded into the blue tape shells which is imported from Italy.

The J-card (where the artwork is printed) was printed on both sides. The inner artwork was printed in RGB instead of CMYK, as it gives it a better glow for that particular photo.

The side A and side B labels were painstakingly stuck onto each shell by hand.

the cases are black/clear Norelco cases which are classic.

I know where the bodies are buried :) nah I had done another tape for their record label, for The Subways and it went really well, so got to do The Prodigy one too. Thats essentially the story! Planting the seed for another Prodigy release soonish... so we shall see. I've always liked the Prodigy though, seen them a ton of times at festivals etc.

well, there are hundreds of tape labels out there BUT I would suggest you just do it yourself and cut out the middleman. Set up a bandcamp and do it DIY with two tape decks. Otherwise get it dubbed somewhere else if you are doing larger numbers. You can get tape decks off ebay for very cheap. walkmans are kinda expensive at the moment though, as everyone is after one. Must be all the prodigy fans!

once they sell out from this site (theres about 150 left I think) I reckon initially between £15-£20. In a few years, double that. Cassette Culture is growing, and with that comes more people grabbing for the few tapes around!

If youve already got one, Id get another :)
