For the 25th anniversary of the band published mastermind Liam Howlett (44, DJ, Key.), Keith Flint (46 Ges.) And Keith Palmer aka Maxim Reality (48 Ges. MC) with "The Day Is My Enemy" her eighth studio album and present this now live in Europe (eg at 7:11. in the Sporthalle Hamburg). Before the tour everyday clamps complete the Englishman Liam chatted for OXMOX a little out of the Electro Punk / Hardcore Nähkästchen ...

Which is your personal favorite plate?

It is difficult to commit to a single album. At the moment I like to listen to "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA Then I always like to take my house apart and throwing the furniture out of the window! (Laughs)

Which is your favorite song of The Prodigy?

"Take Me To The Hospital" - the song goes live from really good!

What was the worst job you had before the band?

I had to wash the dishes in a Chinese restaurant in order to make ends meet. The boss has always called me "Little" - that was horrible (laughs)!

Who helped you with your music to get where you are now?

The three of us support each other. I decided very early on, never to sign with a major label. Today I can say that it was the best decision of my life. We have our freedom and can do what we want.

What advantages and disadvantages does the success brought about?

I find that there are no disadvantages. Of course I miss his family, if you are long on the road, but that's about it. Since I am now over 25 years in business, I honestly do not know how my life was before.

What was the most difficult time for The Prodigy?

That was between 2001 and 2003. We were all pretty selfish, everyone has thought only of himself. Eventually we realized luckily, that things can not go on and re-valued each other. During this time I have noticed that respect is the most important part of a band.

What does a normal day in your life?

A normal day is full of chaos. I love it, that keeps my brain young. (Laughs)

Tell us your funniest fan-Story ...

When we were in the studio, a fan has climbed through an open window and a full eight feet, fell on our console middle. He probably wanted us look at the recordings. He should just ask us, we would let him through the door. So he had imprints of the mixer knobs on his face. We found this very funny - he is not (laughs).

Your Catering "must-haves" ...

I love Japanese food, champagne and water. So I am happy. I would never eat such a food like McDonald's!

What place in Hamburg do you like most?

That I can not answer because I never get out of my hotel room (laughs). In general, I can say that I love to play in Germany, because the audience is particularly wild.

what plans do you have for the future?

We are writing songs for a new EP. If all goes well, this will come out in the winter of next year.

Well winter is technically December, January, & February

So he can mean January or February of 2016... or December 2016 ;)

We’ll take a break for Christmas and then rock on late January, and I’ll be back in the studio to write a new four-track EP.

i'm not going to hope anything, but it feels good to know there is a chance new stuff is coming.

i do think just making some tracks could work much better for him. hopefully he doesn't think he has to make something super fresh and important, then he might fall into a trap.

This Blaze magazine isn't from '92 though, it's Issue #15 from August 1993.
Page 3 mentions they are a monthly with the next one being released Sept. 30, 1993.
It also goes on to thank the folks who came out for their first event on August 7th, 1993.
Plus the promos on Page 4 and last page are advertising shows in September and October of '93.
So this would be August of 1993 with One Love EP coming out within a couple of months.

Page 10 the Plastic Surgery Hard Chart Top 20 has listed Prodigy - One Love (Test Press) at #4.

No worries, still a great read!
Love things like this, I was pretty young at this time.
This is actually around when I first heard rave music.
