A little clue/ tightening up my original question.......
He WAS in a band before taking up this touring job but they were more an underground rock band - he is a singer on most of the bands tracks too

It was in an magazine article around the time him and LH released their TMTTH remix, it talked about him being a lanky twenty something with ginger mop like hair helping backstage throughout the tour but mainly in charge of the lighting
Great experience for the young man as he was on a break from his band - they have remained friends ever since
