The constant complaints from fans is nothing new. I remember fans complaining about 'MFTJG' due to the introduction of guitars. Some fans hated the 'punk' direction with Keith singing on 'Firestarter'. A lot of fans didn't like it when lyrics were introduced. They wanted The Prodigy to keep producing instrumental rave tracks. People's tastes change. I used to really like The Chemical Brothers but they went more and more House music. I pick and choose what I want to listen to from them now. I don't post on their fan forums constantly about how I don't like them as much anymore. Who cares about what someone else likes or doesn't like in music? People should listen to what they do like. People seem to spend more of their time on what they don't like rather than what they do like.

When its about Liam it is always the same. We have to take what he says with grain of salt. But Im more confident this time. First of all I always go back to that news from bmg https://www.bmg.com/uk/news/The-Prodigy ... o-BMG.html It specifically said album next year with burst of activities in 2018. Second, is making a timeline from the prodigy and other artists instagram profiles. The prodigy first announced new beats on that post EP posted december 2016. Then we hava a picture with Brother Culture studio bizznez or something like that in june 2017, in july we have a studio pic with Ragga Twins, also they posted a picture from Liams studio that later they deleted because you could see board with possible track names. Etc etc. You all got my point that Liam was busy in the studio at least for last half a year. He promised new beats and we got new beats literally on this gigs. Im not defending him, he also promised single this year but nothing. Call me desperate I dont mind

EDM/mainstream electronic music is shit, but there's plenty of amazing underground music out there. Nothing is gonna chart like the 90s because that kind of musical marketing landscape is dead. The charts is for shit, unchallenging music you hear in a cell phone commercial. You're not gonna see underground chart because that whole MTV charting world is dead. The charts are for your pop radio artists. It's for the lowest common denominator music now. But don't knock the underground because there's tons of amazing producers out there doing great things. You just have to go find it and not have someone's best of chart tell you what is good. There's no MTV of today to summarize what is good for you and honestly good riddance. Even with MTV, only a small sliver of good music was being curated to you. Me personally, I never stop digging for new music and constantly searching and I've come across some awesome music. Sadly, it doesn't seem Liam does do much digging below the surface either since he's always going off on mainstream producers and DJs. I guess that's why I'm not so torn waiting for the next Prodigy release, I got plenty of great music to occupy my time with. I just can't agree with the whole "it's not how it used to be" thinking like music isn't good anymore. Yeah, what's consider commercial music isn't good anymore, but again, that is a tiny sliver of what is out there. I'd love to hear what Liam would write if he actually dug deeper into what's out there. But I guess like many people out there, they just don't want to take the time to search through the vast ocean of music that's out there. But in this day and age, charts are irrelevant to actual quality. Charts just prove you have the best marketing scheme and presence.

The thing is, even rehashed Prodigy tracks still sound better than anything else I hear, which is probably the saddest part for me. I think we're just too old.
