Definitely a few GREAT songs on there.. but not even close to one of their best albums, sadly.

We Are The Night is not a perfect album,

but it definitely has some good songs on it.

I love the opening and We Are The Night.

I've never liked EVERY song on a chemical brothers album... until now. I like every song on this album... and that's why it's my favorite. It doesn't have their best songs ever (cept for Burst Generator ) but it is their most consistently great album.

when I heard how crazy burst generator was.. i expected something crazy along the lines of Swiper.

nothing of BG really "stands out" or thrills me, relaly.

Album is great! Maybe not their best, but great enaught to half of world love it. Better than AONO, and much much much better than - NOTHING. Right Mr. H


All Rights Reversed is best track if you ask me. Maybe better than Galvanize!

The album is wicked...It realy dig it! At first time when i heard "Do it Again" i hated it..Now it has me.

id rather own the spitfire single than this album. Im ready to say that comment of yours is blasphamy....i listened to the album...it was alright but none of the songs have me clicking play again it was like "yeah its not a bad album some decent music" but when i sit down at my computer to listen to music its not even in my head to click on any of these songs.

Better than AONO? No way. Not one song on here even comes close to Spitfire, Girls, or Hotride. It's got a more consistant sound than AONO, but that's b/c AONO is all over the map with genres... which I personally like. WATN is not bad, and I think it will grow on people with time, but it's really missing one or two undeniably killer tracks which nobody can argue are good or bad.

Sure the tracks dont compare to girls, spitfire etc, but i'd much rather listen to das spiegel than listen to medusas path and phoenix tbh

You have just named the two bad tracks of AONO...

It doesn't make sense when you tell others WATN is better then AONO , right?

lovely album! i had two listens now. first i had the feeling that they just recycled some of their sound fx from previous albums especially those from 'surrender' but after the second listen i really like the vibe of the whole piece. it's a very ironic album isn't it? they almost make fun of themselves in some tunes. i dig the laid back atmosphere - wonderful for a listen at night.

Not for everyone medusas path is a bad track...My class mate is a sick fan of this tune...

of course not better than AONO for me. But of course much better than nothing.... BETTER THAN NOTHING MR H

I think it's a pretty nice record. Sounds like a cross between Surrender/Come With Us/Push The Button with assistance of Orbital("Das Spiegel") and Gorillaz ("Salmon Dance"). My favourites are "Do It Again", "Burst Generator", "A Midnight Modern Conversation"(it's pure classic - maybe the best in the album) and "Battle Scars"(reminds me bout "Giant"). "All Rights Reserved" is also great - it sounds almost like electronic Bloc Party tune

I don't want to compare this record with their previous ones. My personal opinion is that it's not some exclusive bomb or killer record but it's still really really great and fresh. I'm all for it - it seems that it's gonna be an essensial part of my summer soundtrack.

I never said WATN is better than AONO, i'm just pointing out they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I personally think Burst Generator is weak and i'd much rather listen to spitfire than it.
