Although not intirely sure, there's a sample in Resonate at 1:48 which sounds like a sample he used before in a track called The Beat on the drummer tape.

What artist is this catchy chipmunk vocal in Timebomb ?

I'm listening to the new album tons of times and I actually need more time, because what I will write now won't be my definitive opinion about it.

Resonate is in my opinion the best track. It just has a great vibe, great sounds, but especially, a fuckin' great breakbeat. I even love Brother Culture vocals and distorted voices. Maybe the live version sounds better, because of the reverb which gives a more complete effect to the track and is less repetitive. 8/10

I think that, with Light Up The Sky, Time Bomb Zone is the second best one: great breakbeats, great old skool dance vocals, and good ravy and nowadays synths. It is never repetitive for me. 7,5/10

Light Up The Sky gives me the same effect as I heard Omen for the first time. It's just a track which I liked from the first moment I heard it: powerful, great sound given by the guitars, but especially by Their Law synths sound. The sample of this Czech guy fits very well with the rest of the song. 7,5/10

We Live 4ever just gives a great contribution to this album: great old skool vibe, Maxim voice and lyrics always give a big contribution to the prodigy sound. TMTTH beats and bass, mixed up with Kool Keith samples gives a good idea of the old skool vibe. I also like the SOuth Central riff, even if I'm not hundred percent convinced by the sound of the synth. 7/10

Give Me A Signal is a track that I like, even though I'm not convinced by Barns Courtney voice. This brit pop style ruins a bit the track. Synths are great, some parts are messy, but I need to listen to it much more. 6,5/10

No Tourists is a good track. That's definitively the final elaboration of Gun Reprise. What I don't like about this track are the strings, just because I don't like that FatBoy Slim sound 4 The Prodigy. Structurally I have nothing to say. Even if slow, it is not repetitive and well created. I like the Hip Hop beats and the choice of the sounds. 6/10

Need Some 1 is good, but nothing special. In my opinion the cheesy sound of the synth ruins the track. 6/10

Boom Boom Tap is just too repetitive. I wasn't convinced as I heard the live version and I don't linke it almost at all even as studio version. It's just boring. 5/10

Champions Of London needs more listenings. For now I don't like it, because I don't like that main acid synth riff, but I need more time. 5/10

I have to admit that Fight Fire With Fire is growing a bit on me. As I already said previously, it has a great sound and I love how it starts (vocals + straight beats). I just don't like its mononote (not monotone) structure. 4,5/10

I have something to add: I'm sure that this album is million times better live. I already can taste some breeds thinking to Resonate beats or Time Bomb Zone live. This is even why I said that this is a provisory analysis.
This is not their best album since The Fat Of The Land, not now, but this is The Prodigy and I always love it.

Need to listen to this a few times to really pick much of it up, it's his most direct album yet though as most things just bang really hard and then finish

What I do know is Resonate is all over the place with those weird vocal filters, he's tried different things to his credit with production and playing it live will drown out some of the shitter production bits

Fucking solid album. Retro modern, almost like he found it down the back of his sofa and spruced it up in 2018.

Not really a stinker in there, FFWF is probably my least favourite but when coupled with No Tourists it makes more sense.

Timebomb Zone and Signal are two which made me tear up a little bit. GOOD SHIT.

Leeds cannot come soon enough

I wanted to write a first listen review but it’s impossible to do without compromising truth.
Properly assesing the quality of a Prodge tune (or an album) takes time.

One thing is for sure, Liam delivered. Time to digest.

The fat bass in the intro and the female whispering vocals when I first heard it I laughed uncontrollably like a lunatic, out of happiness.

Quick question, is it me or no Shahin Baddar on the album at all?

That must mean a B-side/unreleased track/remix is still to come I guess

Just started to listen to album, to early for a review but first impressions are generally great, loving the energy and as has already been said it makes me want to jump around and dance, just like the classic albums did.

I wonder whats the reason why this album listening to the released tracks and comment section seem to have so much energy compared to the other albums after Jilted?

Did he go back to using the early 90s programs? Even with horror the song is unlike all other later albums. Everything is so much more clear.

Yeah, I'm absolutely baffled by the positive response for it.
What on earth is up with the atrocious vocals from 2:17 onwards?

Reminded me of this post on FFWF:

here from 1:20 the vocal is of course a find, straightforward these howls of a homeless man fucked in the ass, who asks for change from passersby

My personal review is: "Did Liam kill EDM?" or "Did Liam resurrect Rave?"

Exactly. And it's the same for Boom Boom Tap.

However i do like how the record is produced. It's nice to hear everything clear and well for a change. And i miss having a breather track on the album as it feels like non stop noize from start to end.
