Well, tbh I was a bit disappointed by the album. Mainly because I thought the new tracks were not as impressive as some of the first releases.

I think overall, the use of lyrics was sub par. Too much chipmunk for my liking and no real rhyme across most of the tracks with the exception of timebomb zone and resonate. Timebomb zone is indeed pretty catchy but the beats lack something. Overall pretty strong tune. Resonate for me is the highlight, the most Prodigy-like track of the album. Needless to say, WLF and LUTS are up there as the best tracks in the album.

Champions, no tourists, FFWF are pretty mediocre, forgettable and would not even deserve multiple listens if I weren't a hardcore fan.

I personally like NS1, I think it has a killer groove but could have done with a little more effort from Mr H.

Boom Tap is just appaling while give me a signal reached a higher state of consciousness.... Liam wtf are you doing?

To wrap it up, there are some keepers but Liam has shown that with the last two albums there is a clear lack of musical innovation and willingness to break through as he did with the first four albums (I mean AONO is not my favorite Prodigy album but it broke new sonic grounds and you gotta give him that) But to be fair, it's hard to do so after the success he had and I totally get it. So, personally 2 to 3 keepers per album and I'm satisfied. Not fair to look for the second coming of Jilted or Fat.

I don't think it's just you, the begining and ending or No Tourists feel similar to the starting melody of BGAT in my opinion. Maybe that's what you're hearing?

I have just listened to the album. Will Neorev and the guy from Montreal let me express my opinion?

It's too early yet to give an accurate description but my overall feeling is that it's somehow a mixture of IMD and TDIME, maybe it sounds a bit less musically saturated. There are a few tracks that I really like but they are a bit rushed as many of you say and they are too short (the good ones at least).

What I mean is that this is not a comeback to the original trilogy, no way, AONO is a different thing and the last three albums have many similarities. If you think about it, they all have been trying to recapture some of their old sounds but these three albums definitely shape the sound of The Prodigy from 2005 onwards.

I still have to rate each track individually, I'll do that later.

(off topic: I listened to TDIME before and Rebel Radio is a pure mess, it could have been a corker but the wall of sound is almost unbearable. And Rok-Weiler is worse than I remembered).

I hope Liam does get back to some of the tunes and gives them some more polish. Like he did with AONO. Those tracks profitted immensely. Generally, I'm missing some songwriting skills on this release. Less loops, more musical progression. He back-developed.

Just heard COL on BBC radio 6. I agree with Keith's vocals, seem a bit out of place and crap. The beat is solid and maxim provides some nice lines but Keith just seems out of place both on tone and timing.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought too. It doesn't help the track, it's quite repetitive and when you think something new's gonna happen, Keith's lyrics make it worse.
Too bad, the base of the tracks isn't bad, but I agree about that one feeling rushed. I think that precise moment is THE lowpoint of the album for me.
It's a real shame because the other lyrics by Keith and Maxim fit really well on the rest of the album. Haters are gonna have a field day with that one.

For the beats of GMAS, I don't agree though, they remind me more of Claustrophobic Sting or Now Here Dis IMHO. That IMD demo track's beat feels much more rocky to me. I really like that demo by the way, real shame Liam didn't finish that one.
I saw some say it's a Colours demo, I think they sound very different. Anyway...

Ah well, i am going to listen to it closer when i get my album tracks tomorrow for real and compare them even more.

Especially Give Me No Signal. Its quite weird that the jungle string is so similar to some fake NS-beats.
