Guess im one of the few who is blown away by give me a signal.
An album closer.
Mix jilted tunes with aono drums and the fat riff with Keith and a pop songer singing pop lines.
This sounds like a really bad mix. Like mixing jellybeans candy with steak, potatoes, icecream and pizzasauce in a mixer. You expect to get somethig that disappoints you, but out comes glitter and gold.
This track is still the best one in my opinion. Holy shit, Liam gambled hard and got it right.
I expected some poppy song with similar feels of shoot down but i got one of my absolute favorite tracks of all time. We live forever and resonate is up there too but this track is just amazing, especially when it sounds riskfull.
2:34 to 3:11 is the No Tourists of this album. Not the No Tourists, but this one. Watching the cover and listening to this part of give me no signal.. this part.. it made the album for me.
Its like the bus is the taxi that i called. The tune is the taxi coming closer and closer, letting me in, there is Liam with sunglasses chewing bubblegum staring at me and without warning the bus drives away at full speed making me lose my balance.

Now we argue about it.
Prodigy are NOT as good as they used to be with new music.
Liam HAS lost his edge, and the standard of No Tourists is lower than what we used to expect.
That's not subjective, that's me comparing this with the older stuff.
Look how the vibe picked up after WLF - everyone loved it. There was universal agreement on here that it was a storming track.
And it is, but it's the only one. There are some decent tracks but the simple division over the album as a whole is just like what there was after NS1, FFWF and to an extent LUTS.
The harmony after WLF showed we do still know what good is - and when something falls below it from someone or thing we love, some of us find reasons to big it up and pretend we like it more than we do. That's happening here.
This album is listenable. It is ok in places, and really really good in one, maybe two - but this is not a classic Prodigy album on any level.
Anyone who says otherwise and truly believes it has different standards today to what I'm used to. Nah man the unified love for the first 3 albums is only what happened long after fotl. after experience people were dissing jilted, after jilted, people were dissing fat. onwards, people are dissing everything after aono. After IMD, some people were dissing the day. No one is dissing no tourist because of the day however...makes you wonder. Having lived through all eras I think the first 3 were met with very positive and some times very enthusiastic approach from critics and fans. I don't think there was a single soul that dissed FOTL. It was more of a struggle to pick a couple of songs that you hated rather than the modern struggle of picking a couple of tracks that you like especially from the last 2 eras.

Free postage is the big draw. I'll wait until close to release before I decide where to buy due to last time when HMV announced the remix EP with TDIME around a week before release day.
Not me personally, but quite a few people have told me they've had to wait ages for delivery and then the wrong thing turned up so because of that I avoid them. It could be it's just a few isolated cases like any store is not 100% perfect but bit too many for me to risk it. Well you were correct. The Ebay listing said "Your order will be despatched 4 days before release on 02/11/2018". Here we are on release day and I haven't even had an email to say they've even posted it yet. According to eBay "Estimated delivery Fri, 02 Nov - Tue, 06 Nov". Piss poor situation. These companies know people want stuff on release day when they've preordered. I took the risk knowing if it was late I'd be able to hear the album on streaming services. Saved myself £12 in postage anyway (if it ever turns up). ZOOM.CO.UK web site is owned by Universal Pictures with its parent NBCUniversal International Limited. At least it's a big company so I doubt they've stolen my money.

Narcotic Suite, even after nearly 25 years, is still one of my favorite runs of any album ever and in heavy rotation on my playlists. It's seriously EDM at it's finest.

Can you hear me is definitely the best track on this album- even if some bits seem missing. Ahh! I swore I’d never go back to Chicago after I was there for the invaders gig. Hoping for a Denver gig. I wish they’d step foot in Minneapolis for once..

Absolutely not. Am loving 'Give Me A Signal' too, nasty, dirty, acidic and hard. LOVING IT!!! Top production once again from Liam.

If it makes you feel better, Congress was the crappiest venue in Chicago and has since been condemned. If they did a venue set, It'd likely be with another EDM titan at Aragon Ballroom. Otherwise, they'll be doing a festival (likely this would be one of the events Liam mentioned "we're already booked for"). Chicago Open Air makes sense because there are two metal fests during the same weekend ran by the same company. The other one will be in Columbus. They could pay up for Prodigy to play both.

Need Some1 - neutral - hate some of the sounds Light Up the Sky - neutral - sounds messy/noisy at times; those millisecond cut-outs annoy me We Live Forever - love - nothing else to say No Tourists - neutral - lyrics too simplistic, not a fan of some of the sounds Fight Fire with Fire - neutral - great beats, not so great vocals Timebomb Zone - like - not a fan of some of the transitions between parts Champions of London - neutral - lyrics are more cringe than normal, but banging beats. Want instrumental badly Boom Boom Tap - hate - live version sounded like it had more drums and sounded more fast pace. Album version sounds slow, doesn't flow well, absolutely hate some of the sounds Resonate - dislike - hate the way the lyrics are sung, don't like some of the sounds Give Me a Signal - like - pretty good beats, lyrics don't suck
Best to worst
We Live Forever Timebomb Zone Give Me a Signal Fight Fire with Fire Champions of London Need Some1 Light Up the Sky No Tourists Resonate Boom Boom Tap
Overall Pros
Great variety in track style. No track sounds the same. Tracks get straight to the point. Not too long. Tracks on MFTJG and AONO just draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaged on forever. This album came quickly and it shows Liam's not afraid to experiment.
Overally Cons
Most lyrics are cringe, even for the Prodigy. Some sounds (not songs overall) are VERY annoying or just sound bad. Boom Boom Tap is not a style of song that fits with Liam.
Verdict
Feeling neutral about the album as a whole. I think Prodigy should play the full album on tour and gradually remove tracks leaving only We Live Forever and Light Up the Sky in the setlist with maybe Timebomb Zone and an edited lyric version of Champions of London.
Personal album position
FOTL > MFTJG > Experience > IMD > TDIME > No Tourists > AONO
