I have already spoken about it, I come here more or less regularly since 2006 as a spectator, so, I don't know if it's legitimate to come talk about this subject with my 40+ posts.
I didn't notice that so obviously during IMD and TDIME, but there is a real animosity on this forum. So much so that I hesitate very often to post because I dread to have violent returns, as with UN. I like to talk freely and respectfully without risking a bad time afterwards. It's as if there were guardians of the temple and those who wanted to destroy it, while it's much more nuanced than that, in reality. Call it a lot of sensitivity or what you want, but I find it really sad. I'm sure if it was not behind a screen, people here would have a much better time talking to each other. my respects to everyone here (I insist on that), but I spend more and more bad times reading Brainkiller.

It's really impressive if you analyze every 30 seconds of those tracks, I recommend it, if you're into that. As for Stand Up, I'd say that's just like No Tourists kind of track; no copious amounts of musical information, but not lightweight either. 303 featuring and all. As opposed to BBT which is quite lightweight, like Charly (Drum and Bass version). Anyway, I'm glad you (and others) feel about it the same.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about Piranha and World On Fire. They are detailed and non-repetitive. The concentration in in varied sounds is really cool, I like those tracks a lot and you just put into words why.  On TDIME though, I sometimes felt that Liam over did it a bit and it doesn't work as well, which is why I prefer IMD over TDIME overall. NT is a whole other kind of beast, the tracks are much simpler and straight to the point. I do agree with what's-his-name that the tracks feel like radio edits, just looking at the lengths pretty much gives that away. I don't know why Liam did it that way, but I feel it fits better with the current music market. It works better for people using streaming services and buying tracks one at a time. I'm not really part of that audience, so I would have prefered longer tracks and NT does feel like a streched out EP, but it's still great and I'll take more of the same anytime.

just realized that that's actually LEO live drumming on Champions Of London and he is also credited on the album.
If I'm not mistaken Liam never used him in the studio. Rob played guitar on Rok-Weiller though.

Shame Piranha never got dropped live, think it would work quite well.

Still waiting for this track to be dropped live. If they removed Invaders Must Die track now is the time to kick with Piranha. It's not my fav track from the album but still good and underrated. |

Too soon to give an opinion about the record, but I enjoy it a lot. Initially, NT and GMAS did not transcend me. But the ton of listening is starting to make an impact ! Quality production, really dynamic. I have trouble listening to TDIME because of its production since a long time, and NT is good for the 30+ yr old ant that I am, 22 years fucking my ears with the sound of Howlett Cheers, man. I fear that Timebomb Zone and No Tourists won't be played live or will have the same destiny as Thunder, Destroy and Rebel Radio.
Boom boom and Give me a signal will probably never be played live. Fight cocks with cunts will definitely be played live once Ho99o9 join as support acts.
