A couple of great looking trailers from E3.

It was confirmed at E3 that contrary to the rumours 'Metal Gear Solid 4' is and will be a PS3 exclusive title.

Metal Gear was incredibly impressive. Killzone... cool but CoD4 looked better. I'm still expecting that Metal Gear will make the hop in the future since Konami was talking serious shit about the PS3 earlier in the week. We'll see though. Exclusive is such a loose term these days.

For those of you that saw the press conferences what did you think? I was horribly disappointed with all 3. MS started things off decently and by far showed the best line up of games but didn't announce anything new other than Scene It and XBLA games. I was so pissed they showed nothing we hadn't already heard about. The Halo trailer had waaaaaaaaaay too much Arbitor and ruined it for me. I really wanted to see Too Human played and Fable 2 but they were completely missing.

Nintendo showed next to nothing and basically said they weren't a game company anymore. Worst one of the three.

The Sony one had all the potential to blow the other two out of the water (and I was actually hoping they would... just out of spite for how boring the other two were) but dropped the ball. They started off by talking about how they were going to focus on games and what did they show? A new PSP (bleh...), Home (over and over and over and over and over and over with horrible horrible jokes in the mix), Sing Star... Then they finally showed MGS which was awesome. After that they stuck in a demo real of the same games MS showed which was annoying as all hell. Then they finally finished off with the Killzone trailer which came out the day before so nobody cared. All Sony needed to do was show fuckin' FFXIII and MGS4 and they would have owned. Sadly they showed all that other worthless crap and left out FFXIII. All I wanted was FFXIII!

E3 blew this year. All three companies need to be slapped.

I watched all 3 (thats dedication for ya! haha), missed ths first 10 mins or the MS one cuz of a bad tummy haha anyway, Thought MS had the best one, there was nothing new, but they showcased all the games (bar RE5) that we will be playing this year! and they all look the nuts! (gutted about no Too Human!!) The Halo 3 trailer was in a lot of parts not very good, but pause the trailer at the actual 1st person sections and it looks the nuts, hope there are NO Arby levels to play through and i hope we dont see him much during the game, fucking annoying part of Halo 2 IMO, the impressions of the behind doors walkthrough have been nothing but great, saying that the trailer doesnt show the best of Halo 3 and taht they shuld ahve done the walkthrough instead of the trailer..

Nntendo... dont get me strated that was the worst E3 conference iv seen, ever!

Sonys conference was ok, BUT all that Home crap was fucking annoying. The Killzone trailer was pretty impressive, not upto the E305 trailer at all though, reminded me of Resistance for some reason, end of the day though it is still Killzone and if its anything like the first ill be giving it a miss!
GT5, again it looked good, but if its anything like number 4 ill be giving it a miss also (GT4 most boring game of the series)
Haze and UTIII timed exclusives were a good steal by Sony, and can see why they are timed exclusives (Halo 3)... Ill be picking them up on PC anyway seeing as the sixaxis/dualshock is IMO the worst pad for FPSs (yer i know M+K support for UTIII on PS3)

Im excited about Silent Hill 5 coming to the 360. I really hope they release a Patch for Gears of War too since the PC will be having more levels. As for the PS3 not to start hating because with the price drop and my starting to run into money ive actually considered buying this thing...but when i looked at the games the only exclusives i saw for it were MotorStorm and Resistance...the only thing Motor Storm has going for it is Pendulum - Slam in the soundtrack but i already have the Hold Your Colour album on my 360 which I play any time im playing a racing game. So did best buy just have a poor selection or is my only motivation to buy this system for the blu-ray player (which at the moment i wouldnt even be able to utilize) and Resistance?

What about the forthcoming wipeout for PS3?!

I LOOOOVE that game! That + oldschool sega games is why i would want a PS3. FPS and car games are becoming boring

Motorstorm is actually pretty good fun can get a lil frustratin at times. REsistance is a good game aswell, online is great
Theres Ninja Gaiden Sigma out, and thats meant to be good, besides them 3 games im stuck asto what else you could buy right now, by the end of the years there will be Warhawk, which i my most wanted game on PS3 i think haha, Little Big Planet, which is jsut damn cute and looks like a lot of fun, Theres Lair, which looks ok, could end up going either way though

Steve I'm going to slap you if you buy a PS3 before MGS4 or FFXIII comes out. Anything else on that console that is worth while will be on the 360.

So you guys know that price drop that Sony has been boasting since E3? Yeah... well Sony once again seems to be just a bunch of assholes...
