hahahaha, this is definitely the first supercell i've ever seen with my own eyes. it's a little exciting though really, once you see the size of the storm coming at you and the intensity of the darkness behind it, you know it's going to be mind blowing

This is something I dont get. I spent around six months in NY two years ago and of course the news were full of tornados and storms tearing down houses which are mostly made of wood. The thing is, afterwards, those same houses were rebuilt (out of fucking wood again) and got torn down the next year by a different tornado. This was mostly the case in and around Florida (that area at least). The question is obvious: wouldnt it be more wise to build a house out of bricks and concrete and make sure your family fucking stays alive rather than rebuilding the damn thing each year just because wood is cheaper than bricks?

you would think so until you see a tornado tear through brick houses as well. nothing like seeing a train flying through the air and wipe out everything in it's path :?
