What is the name of the instrument, or some kind of effect unit, that gives this WOW or distortion effect on main sample ? What could it be ?

it's not really an effect at all. you can do it with filters. you could achieve it through other means with clever flange or phase effects but ideally it's just filters in motion on some of those. on others it's just a specific filter type tweaked a certain way.

So it`s just filter added to the sample ?

Is there any PC software that generates this type of sounds ?

I have got reaktor but I haven`t got instrument like this. I`m curious what kind of equipment did liam used t make it

you could make it in reaktor but you'd have to be very clever.

liam used real hardware to make those sounds. stuff like the voodoo people lead came off things like roland synths. liam was big with those and some korg synths back then

mess around with bandpass, notch, and high pass filters.. you'd be surprised what kind of sounds they can make

I`ve set reaktor to the same sound like on voodoo people, blow your mind (phoenix 96), and few others. But can`t make this amazing effect. Once I even tried to play it, but that`s not that. Liam didnt pleyad it ... he just put effect.

it's really not an affect at all.. you could wah it and do it. wow sound or wah sound is just as you describe it..

yeah i rember us talking about this when i was hunting down that tone that was used for voodoo people but i wont get that sound unless i buy this old roland vintage synth

but yeah mate alot of the effects used are done by real hardwere very retro stuff aswell, liam likes to keep it oldskool when he writes an album but when its live he likes to blend new synths with old which is an amazing compination

thats what makes the prodigy so unique

I just love this sound and maybe I want to find emulator fo it. If not, maybe I`ll buy that synth, is something wrong in it ?
