it's really not that complicated. it's filters in motion... a wah sound or wah wah is just filters in motion.. liam tweaks live and those sounds are all old hardware synth sounds it's all there for you to just twist the filter cut off or resonance knob

abletons good for the live sounding effect stuff you can use to make things sound live if u know what your doing and i have some retro remakes of moog's and all that for the pc but none of it can make the sound u hear in poison and voodoo people etc thats all hardware stuff, the pc just can't compare to the real deal

You can do it with a creative soundcard in realtime with creative software i.e.! Problem is, you don´t have all the single parts and pieces of a prodigy track if you want to use it for a prodigy tune. You only can do that effect on the complete source, but not only on melody or only on drums....
You need to divide the single elements of a track, but this is impossible...

have you tried bandpass notch or highpass filters?
try using them as you would a low pass filter for a wah wah effect. see how the sounds react. it's all experiment based

if you listen to firestarter (Instrumental) you'll hear it perfect
but could anyone care to tell me what that effect is etc ?

It's just a low pass filter with a quick delay envelope, distortion and fucking reverb.

Actually, I was referring to the original effect in question from MCMaxim.
The Firestarter effect you're talking about is simply reversing a sample and adding a volume envelope with a moderate attack for the build and zero release for that quick stop. Add some reverb and filter to taste.
