All computers basically do is run Windows XP and other software and handle hardware. Its just that some are faster than others at doing it .. big deal. I don't care if my PC takes 5 seconds to do something whereas someone elses takes 2 seconds.

Depending on the processor speed and memory for instance you can either perform certain operations or you cannot at all. Depending on the same two things, you can either run certain software or you cannot at all. Depending on the sound card in your system, the sound which you will hear will be either good quality or not. Does the machine support Firewire for instance, Serial ATA, et cetera? It's not just about speed as you wrote.

Just installed Windows Vista RC1 into my computer, and I must say that I'm very impressed. Not going to return to XP anymore... 8-)

I have it in dual boot with xp, but I've had alot of problems with drivers not working, like the drivers for my wireless network and audio drivers.
Did you experience something similar?

Other than that , vista looks great and work great. But very few things have been done (new drivers to stuff) to work with it..

Nice setup mate! :) Bought 2GB of DDR2 memory as well, which I will have running in a Dual Channel configuration. Got a DVD player too for my setup. Didn't want to get one at first, thinking that a burner would be enough, but changed my mind ;) Will hopefully be able to assemble my computer this week :)
