I didn't expect everyone to agree, I was just saying my opinion on Pendulum's new release and now I'm regretting it :P

I don't like the vocals (sounds too much like Keith is trying to be John Lydon imo). I would like the track if it wasn't for the vocals.

Let's not make this thread about Firestarter, back to flaming Granite!

It does happen ;). even on this forum :). I don't really like that track either (whoops, poor yourself another whisky Coggles :p) . I do like the instrumental version though.

I think I'm gonna have to say I'm in the same boat as Joey. When FS came out, sure it was huge, but it was so overplayed in every pub, club or record shop it got boring.

My opinion hasn't changed that much even now. When I listen to FOTL, I skip it.

I just don't need to hear it again for the eleventy millionth time.

As for Granite, all I can say about it is, it's very ordinary. Just hope they play an awesome version when I go to see them in Great Yarmouth on Nov 16th!!

LoL @ the caption on that flyer "A Night With Pendulum". Isn't such a tagline usually reserved for some old geezers playing classical piano? Like "A Night With Elton John" or something lol.

I just listened to Coma, Planet Orion and Insecurity for the first time in ages. I had forgot how good they are, I actually prefer them to lots of tracks on Hold Your Colour. I dunno if this has been discussed already on an earlier page but there's no harm in discussing it again;

What do you like more? Pre-Hold Your Colour Pendulum (planet orion, insecurity etc) or post HYC (blood sugar, grantie, axle grinder etc)?

To be a bit offtopic: I don't really like Firestarter as well :? It's more or less the theme which forced Prodigy in a corner, which made it hard for the band continue what they were doing (listen to Baby's got a Temper again).

Sure it was a hit, sure I had time I thought it was interesting, sure it was something new at the time, but that doesn't necessarily make it good. I prefer any other track of Prodigy. Firestarter has been chewed on too long by too many people in my opinion...

Sorry for being off-topic, but it was pretty interesting to see how many people are 'shocked' if someone says he or she doesn't like Firestarter. AONO as a whole album was even more pissed on by people so why can't a person dislike one song in particular? :wink:

Coma is not a pendulum track, its produced by a different artist of the same name

Pre hold your colour tracks were miles better, check out voyager, ulterior motive, trail of sevens, parameter, follower dubplate possibly (not sure of its release date), spiral, no one knows, vault etc. all much better tracks than hold your colour. i know what i would rather buy on a shiny mastered cd...
