jugo wrote: this is a bit odd... "The Right Brain vs Left Brain test … do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it." from comments i've seen connected with it, if you just concentrate on her foot in the shadow, or look somewhere else and keep it in vision in the corner of your eye, you can make it go the other way. something to do with it having two frames which link the rotational direction that are identical, eg the woman looks the same from the front and back. got to be honest and say i can only see it going clockwise. and you....? *edit* this is starting to do my head in. i still can't see it going anti-clockwise....
VERY INTERESTING !!!
I saw her rotating clockwise from the first time on. Than I moved the side up and down and the she rotates into the other direction. I guess it has nothing to do with the foot, it has something to do with the time you start watching the animation.
Maybe you made the experience i.e. you take a look at a watch hangin on the wall and in the first moment you think, it doesn´t work anymore, cos the batteries are low or something like that. But then the watch worked like before. So you thought the watch stopped movin for more than 1 second, but it hasn`t stopped

Activate the left side: Move your right hand/arm.
Activate the right side: Move your left hand/arm.
...do something with your hand that requires a bit of brain activity...like pretend to play a piano or write a word... it works for me

i can see see her rotating anti- and clockwise without any trouble i've been learning fast reading for long time and sometimes i've been doing excercises to improve my brain for few hours one day and it's probably because of that ;]
nevertheless very interesting, how easy is to cheat our senses.
