hey guys, just downloaded the new version of winamp, winamps been going on since 1997 so they have got out a brand new one for their 10th birthday
its got all the fancy features as before such as auto adding media, cool visualisations, video, eq ajustments, and an awesome decoder and all the other basics
a couple new things are:
an internet browser inside the actual player (using it now )
50 free songs download
and this new funky thing that intergrates with your ps3, xbox 360, and mobile phone called winamp remote. Havn't tried out that feature out but i'll certanly have my mobile phone at the ready for a testing.
get on to winamp and download it its awesome

With Unrestricted Audio CD Burning, Winamp Pro enables you to burn your favorite music compilations at your computer's full potential. Once registered, Winamp Pro will allow you to burn your Audio CDs at speeds up to 48x, 9 times the speed of Winamp 5! (Actual speeds may differ, depending on your computer's specifications.)
Rip/Encode Music into aacPlus, AAC, MP3, and WMA!
With Winamp Pro, you can rip all your favorite music CDs into the industry leading MP3 format. When all your songs are encoded in MP3, it provides you the freedom to play them in all MP3 capable hardware and software media players. Your ripping doesn't end with the MP3 format, you'll also have the ability to rip into aacPlus, AAC, MP3, and WMA! Another bonus to Winamp Pro is the ability to rip HE-AAC at >128k bitrate!
Faster, Unlimited Ripping - Up to 48x!
With Unrestricted Audio CD Ripping, Winamp Pro enables you to convert all of your favorite music CDs into digital files at your computer's maximum potential. Once registered, Winamp Pro can rip your CDs at speeds up to 48x, 9 times the speed of Winamp 5! (Actual speeds may differ, depending on your computer's specifications.)
so now you know (or, "so! now you know!!!" as winamp would probably say)

alright guys and gals,
I really recommend that you upgrade your old versions of winamp, your old plug-ins will more than likely be compatible with the latest release. Anyways, one of the newest features is the ability to download album art directly from the servers (not sure if its the winamp servers or CDDB).
Another great reason to download the latest version is the new skin called Bento, which comes in two flavours, small or large. i much prefer the small version as to save screen space, but its all down to personal preference.
One other handy feature is the addition of inbuilt 'Toasts' or rather the pop-up info window that tells you the name of the next track, time and displays the album art for you too.
Within the installer, they also give you the option to download a program called winamp remote, which allows you to stream music and vids etc, to your Xbox360 or Wii or whatever has an internet connection! I have tried it and tested it on my Wii and it works a treat. you can even browse your media library online and change songs etc.
dave.

Used winamp always before.
But for some strange reason, when i use winamp and my mp3-player (hardware) at the same time my computers don't recognize the mp3-player anymore.
