a piece i would like to title, WAKE THE F*** UP

everyone needs to take a deep breath, put your Kleenex away, get control of yourselves, quite throwing a tantrum, and pick yourselves off the floor, you're embarrassing yourself and the people around you.

i have no problem with them playing some super secret, private show to smooze with execs, stars, etc. even if NO NEW SONGS were played. that's right, i said it.

i mean, you have to expect this. the boys are on their own. their not on a label anymore. they have their own label to run, their own album to put out themselves, get $$$ to promote, etc. etc. you have to do things like these to help get people interested and willing to help you with promotion and distribution. this is what it takes. no one cared when that company Ingenious gave 'em thousands of dollars for the new album.

and anyone who complains about Prodigy not being underground anymore, pay close attention...

a band that has circled the globe dozens of times, played every big festival you can think of, has one of the fastest selling albums of all time, top charts across the world, played fashion shows, not only played for, but won a handfull of music awards, also in the Guiness Book of World Records as the best dance act of all time, videos on TV, songs in movies and commercials, they even got books about them...

...you're not really underground.

Prodigy weren't even underground from the start. their first single Charly was a huge hit played all over the radio and tv and clubs when it came out.

so if you're gonna throw a fit because they are not underground anymore, give me a break. if the music is good, it's good. it's as simple as that. nothing has changed my opinion on them. just give me a fucking rocking album and i'll be pleased. if you gotta smooze with execs and stars to do it, be my guest. it's the end product i care about.

and anyone who says they wouldn't accept a PHAT CHECK to just go out, get drunk, to play the same set you've been doing for the last year or two for an hour or 2 for other drunk, rich people who may help support your album is a LIAR!

i hope no feelings were hurt with this post.

yeh, that's basicallly true... but a...

1. I don't really believe it's the only way to get some easy money for Prodigy.
2. I don't believe any money could support the new album.
3. I don't believe there is a new Prodigy album to support. A big recycle bin - maybe.
4. I don't believe in/to Prodigy/Liam since ages.
5. I don't believe Prodigy still exist as a band. As brand - yes, band - no.
6. So, basically, I don't care.

Yeah, they pay a lot in Moscow, J Lo got about 3 millions of $ (and a diamond mic) for similar gig as far as I remember. Prodigy has been a commercial project since FOTL, that's clearly to me now. There was the great future, but Liam has fucked all up with his playstation and champagne. Prodigy as a band is probably dead to me, but I still hope Liam will become a respectful musician/producer. I used to be diehard Prodigy fan, and I had some serious respect for the band years back. That's why I'm giving a chance for Liam.

Of course, Liam can/will release a new album under Prodigy brand. He probably needs money. The more money you've got for the label recording team, the cooler sound you got. The more money you put into promo, the more selling you got. I don't have nothing against it, it's a business. But no matter how good the album is gonna be, that won't recover Prodigy to me. That's my true of life.

I really don't see any reason to be surprised Prodigy playing at VIP party. I'm sure the check was more than PHAT. I think it was like 5+ of Dodge Vipers. But we all know how phucking expensive champagne is..

yeah, if liam had released sth like (he was able to do it) tfofl part2 in 1999/2000 or even 2002 they would have been one of the most important bands ever but he always wanted something new and did aono after 7 years - it was too long, people had forgotten about prodigy in this 7 years.

i think that they next album next year will be their last - they do not have power and i think that 17 years is enough. i'm sure, they will be doing solo projects, maybe even maxim with liam or keith and liam but not as the prodigy.

they could postpone end of prodigy only if next album would be big success but it's almost impossible... who knows...
