never take song lyrics literally mate.
you just trusted in some words from a dance tune and now you're angry with yourself for believing he really meant it.
can we close the topic yet? it's just going in ever decreasing circles.......

r u guys nuts?! what is the big fucking deal?
you guys r beyond ridiculous. you people act like liam played a private gig for the royal family /w special guest george bush in fucking buckingham palace. i don't care if liam played a gig on the set of sesame street. personally, all i care about is the fucking beats, the tunes, the music. i guess some of you thought so too, some years ago, before this forum turned into yellow press. now all i you guys care about r liam's haircut, his weight and the social status of the prodigy audience. i could understand if you guys'd be pissed if the prodigy only played one fucking gig in the last 5 years. they toured their asses off.
get a life.
more importantly, get a family.
anyone who's criticising this gig is a hypocrit.

Most people agree and don't care that he played it. It's just a few people who were deeply "wounded" by this gig.
And what the fuck else u want us to talk about since there's no new Prodigy news for months on end... actually most of the News that is around about The Prodigy is thanks to THIS FORUM and its great users from around the world. If it weren't for the ppl on here we wouldn't know fuck all about The Shadow, Liam's Demo Tape, Tour Dates, etc. Not like Prodigy ever update their site or make this information available. So don't start ragging on us here b/c there's nothing of notable consequence to talk about.

Personally, I would swap 1 album and 5 years of touring to 5 albums and 1 gig. I haven't seen Prodigy live, so, I don't know what I'm losing. Of course, this could be commercial fiasco, but I don't think true Prodigy album is something really hard to sell. What is true Prodigy album? Don't ask, because I know the answer, and it's not the thing Liam would be pleased to hear nowadays. I see the difference between art and consumer product clearly. That's why I'm poor as fuck, I ruin years to find possible do some music (including Prodigy remixes). I doubt I'll ever find a way to make money with music making, but some of my ideas just don't leave my mind, I wake up and I realize I've been sequencing some shit in my dream, but I have to throw my dream to trash can and do some shit job no body actually needs. From time to time I receive letters from Prodigy fans, sound design fans, they ask me to continue my remixing, my sound design posting, but it's pretty damn hard to reply them moaning about my shit job. All I know is that if I throw my ideas out my head, I would regret all the rest of my pointless life. What did I want to say? I want to say that nobody actually cares about secret gigs and 5 years of touring with set-list older than hairs on my butt. I really don't give a fuck. All I need is inspiration and samples. I've designed some technologies to extract the samples. But the inspiration is not the thing that comes with "new album rocks, it will be out next year". It's not the thing that comes with secret gigs. It's not the thing that comes with yellow press news about Disneyland. It's not the thing that comes with suppa-duppa sound created in collaboration with a studio monster. elevendcc wrote: get a life. You mean get a pointless life? I'm afraid my life-path is closed by someone else. I suspect it's the same guy put me the mad ideas in my head. elevendcc wrote: anyone who's criticising this gig is a hypocrit.
no offence, Liam should thanks God there are still people who post anything about Prodigy. What exactly is another question. It depends on the latest releases, interviews, videos. Did I miss something? Oh yeah, the secret gig.. I wasn't invited.

plus, you keep coming back don't you elevendcc. if it was so bad you wouldn't bother.
the 'prodigy til i die' and 'OMG i went into the same toilet as liam' contingent are in the minority really.
i'll probably get flamed to fuck for this, but bk is not just about prodigy. i'd say bk is more a collection of like minded individuals with a sense of humour who hate pop shit and enjoy music that kicks. it's more about US. WE are bk.
and it just happens that we're all into the prodigy too.
i think you're more 'one of us' than you than you'd care to admit elevendcc. unless of course, you don't like music that kicks, and the prodigy, love pop, and have no sense of humour.....

Very interesting news, i read severall comments now and I'm a little bit shocked about some reactions! I think I would do it too, they are making albums for cash and surviving so what's the matter about doing such a gig? Of course I know that many people would go about a bunch of times to the concerts with the same tracklist they don't mind it! But everybody in this forum want to hear new songs and would like to have the new album today evening, when shall they make them if they are touring all the time?? Personally I trust in them, they are working hard on that new cd and they can play gigs in front of who ever they want, I'll wait for the new stuff and then it makes more sense to visit a concert!!

I don't mind that Prodigy did a private gig. It's all about the music for me and that's all. I just wish they'd play more in Denmark (obviously since I am from DK) but I think it's cool that people wanted to have them come and play to their private party and pay for it. It shows that people still think they are a great band... I'd say anyway.
I hope they got a bunch of money for the new label and especially for the new album, hehe.

i don't diss BK in general, i still think there r sum nice discussions (shadow thread, for example) but there were topics stupid as fuck. this one included. "closed gig in moscow - is that the end?" what a laugh.
3-4 years without news? what the hell. anyone remember the days when you guys waited for fotl? anyone remember the discussions back then? 'there's a new live track - kick it in, whats the all about?' i hate being nostalgic but there was the buzz. there was excitment. today you can't even post a pic without some guy writing - oh look, the new guitar player is gay - liam should do situps and workouts, maxim looks old etc. whats the point of all this? you mean if there's no news at all you should go make something newsworthy just 2 prevent BK from turnin into a very quiet place? is that the point? i remember the time people were frustrated about the spitfire video, the lack of promotion for the single. now the band is beginning to lay the groundwork for the promotion of a new album (money deals, sponsoring) - and now they're selling out?

Idiots.
Just wached the videos and I'm happy for the quality. The Band is looking good.I can see the people in there haved their time, and i think all of as wish to be there, so near them.Just a little bit sad that liam don't write something in the diary section about this, slacker. And so sad for the "real" fans to be so upset with this. You Russians have a gig every year and even 3 gig's last year and after that liam writed down on his diary that he loved the people and the place.I'm sure that they will come back in 2008 so get over it.
Thanks to people who shared this.

fuck sake you're all moaning because they play a gig behind closed doors. Fuck it eh, they can do what the fuck they want. WHy do people follow bands like a religion, chill out it's the Prodigy! Don't you think rich people get pissed off because they can probably never go see the Prodigy for real (at a real concert where it's eye for and eye tooth for a tooth haha). They probably never will be able too either. Think of it that way.
I appreciate that their may be some dickheads that get too go too these gigs but fuckit they must have done something right in their lives if they got rich. What's one gig? We'll get a flurry of gigs when they tour with their new albumn :D
