Yesterday I attended Editors gig in Madrid, part of their European tour. Outstanding concert, very energetic performance, much better than expected. I left the building with that feeling of "having seen something extraordinary, really big thing". It was in front of a sellout crowd of 400 or so, at the Joy Eslava theater in the downtown. Crystal clear sound in the house, and awesome response from the crowd. One of the best live acts I have ever seen, and my favourite gig of the year for sure (and note this year I've seen two of my top-ten bands: Kaiser Chiefs and The Prodigy).

Bruce Springsteen yesterday in Madrid. If I am not wrong it was the first night of his European tour with the E-Street Band. Good sound in the arena (Palacio de los Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid), but to me it was a weak gig. Lots of old people in the audience (that's good I suppose) and only a few smash hits on the setlist (Badlands, Thunder Road, Dancing in the Dark, Born to Run, No Surrender). Lots of songs from his new album that I think they didn't work pretty good. I only like two or three songs from Magic, and that made the show to be somewhat flat. However, good crowd response.

i'm going to go on Heineken Open'er Festival (4-6 juli 08) this year!
only 20% of nonpolish artists were announced yet:
main stage:
MASSIVE ATTACK (yeah, it was confirmed yesterday, they will probably start new tour with this gig!)
THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS (my dream for a long time...)
COCOROSIE
world stage:
M.I.A.
GENTLEMAN & THE FAR EAST BAND
much more to come (there will be 3 stages)!
(i pray for rage against the machine of daft punk or at least justice)
tickets are really cheap (for 3 day it's about 60euro till 15 february).
