Fast big/breakbeat with high pitched melodies, backed up with vocals (treated like they're samples), grinding basslines and rock-oriëntated (to make them sound 'live') and various real instruments (flutes, percussion, acoustic ~but twisted~ guitar).

hahaha i'm not putting pop on there! and prodigy isn't a genre, there are others who do what they do and some who've outdone them over the past 10 years. plus this is just a poll for fun, nothing serious lol.. other is a fitting vote for alot of things. it would take too much time and too much page space to list so many styles

I didn't vote b/c there's no "all of the above" option :-D I want them all over the map like usual 8-) I would like some more of Liam's hip-hop influenced tracks as I think he's absolutely brilliant at writing them.

voted for Big Beat, but of course mixing the genres is great (i do like the electro vibe from AONO on a couple tracks, for example)

btw, what is the difference between "breaks" and "breakbeat"?

and there isn't a "Country/Western" option, either...
imagine this, live, "Keith and his guitar"...

anyone heard "Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill"?
if not you can listen to it here: http://www.myspace.com/lesacvspip

well, I'm not 100% sure if it could fit the Prodigy style, but I might like it if they (Prodigy) do a track musically similar to this one (which is broken beat
and IDM, according to discogs), like if they do another track a la Diesel Power (single loop with hip hop vocals)

tell me watcha think, too

breaks and breakbeat are practically the same, typically the very small differences in it is breakbeat is more along the lines of hip-hop style and breaks cuts back alot in the breakbeats and relies on a clever heavy kick drum pattern

Quote:
This is your first solo album since 2006’s ‘No Commercial Breaks’. What was it like to go back to recording as a solo artist after working with Dan the past few years?

Yeah, it’s been a while. It’s been really interesting. My first solo record literally had me and a couple of mates working on it. Originally, that was the plan for this one, but it was actually Liam Howlett [of The Prodigy] who inspired me to get more people working on it. He was going to do a beat for this record, but never got around to it. When I was chatting to him and he offered a beat for it, it made me think: “Yeah, I could hit up a lot of different people.” As long as I’ve got a specific sound that I’m after and I can give a specific framework to work to, then it could be interesting.

Do you think you’ll try and work with Liam at some point in the future?

We’ve been talking about it for years now, back and forth. So yeah, in my mind, it’s always on the table. But it’s a case of schedules and when they actually tie together. Obviously, he’s a busy guy and I don’t sit around much [Laughs].
