there's a snow storm here, right now

like 1 foot will have fallen over the day

:x

I know there's no school because of the storm, but it hinders me to do something important anyway...

9 days ago I cut myself punching a glass window in a somewhat 'drunk state'. My hand was cut on ceveral places, bleeded like a river. This sunday I pulled the last piece of glass out of my middlefinger. Jesus fucking christ, that hurts like crap man. ...And what a piece it was, was about the same size as a Tic Tac. :?

Didn't you go to the Emergency Room? That could have turned very septic very quickly. I often get metal splinters in my fingers from working on photocopiers (yes really! The frames are razor sharp inside. And wire offcuts are a bitch..) and I put some antiseptic on it as a matter of course.

But I can't talk really. A few years ago I was working in a warehouse, and got hit on the head by a metal frame, well it fell on me to be precise. Two weeks later I was still finding rusty specks of metal in my skinpores!

Erika, earlier today:

I'm so, so sorry..

Seriously though, was it a manual or auto gearbox? Who were you with, an instructor or a family member? Public road or private land?

A lot of people shit themselves the first time they drive a car, it's to be expected. I had never sat behind the wheel before my first lesson, and I was bricking it big time. But 8 months later I passed my test 1st time. It was all down to many hours of practice and theory outside the actual lessons, and I've now been driving for 18 years. Don't give up, it's one of the best things you'll ever do.

it's very strange the differences between here and other places in the world. nearly everyone here drives in comparison to others around the world who rely on train or bus

being an american living in europe ive seen both sides...i like the bus and train...just sit back pop in the earbuds, turn on the mp3 player and relax

i think part of it is the gas prices too...the u.s. has always (until recently) had much less expensive gas than th eu...it has always cost a lot more over here

that being said i will never give up having a car...i think it has something to do with control and knowing you can go somewhere at anytime if you want to

the most interesting thing about driving in europe is driving in the uk...very different sitting on the right side....everythings opposite  ...fortunately i havent ended up going the wrong way on the road yet

germany is great because you can go as fast as your car and skill will let you...in most places  not too many acccidents on the autobahn but when there are.....oooooohhh...... :?

every once in while i will go rent a porsche for the weekend and see just how fast i can go...oh yeah :-D 8-)

i think most european countries have a better driving education program than the u.s.....it takes a lot more time and money to get a licence over here (as much as 2000EURO) so people take it a lot more serious
driving instruction includes basic first aid, basic mechanic skills as well as driving at night on the highway, etc....its a bit more comprehensive

Ive been sort of seeing this guy but he just wont give me any space and its freaking me out . He wants a proper relationship but he just dont rock my boat . I liked him initially because he was not a soppy sod but now hes all romantic it makes him appear vunerable and im not handling it very well.

Any idea how im gonna get rid of him apart from being nasty.
