Am I the only person that thinks the Wii is a waste of money? It has the worst selection of games of any console I've ever baught. The future doesn't look bright either. I'm actually thinking about selling it on ebay around christmas....

Thing is I love nintendo, the N64 still has my favourite generation of games by far. The gamecube was fucking awesome.... But the wii... All these gimicky games, family games, SHIT games. This isn't a games console it's a fucking family entertainment system. Seems like nintendo are just in it for the money this time around

Yeah, there are a couple heavy hitters out right now. Not a lot, but a few. Mario Galaxy is great. I play it everyday. My Wii was collecting dust for a while, but now I have a good selection of Wii games and VC games. And, let us not forget about Smash Bros Brawl, which may turn out to be the best Nintendo game in history.

I understand what you mean, but I also think you have bought the complete wrong games then. Don't forget Mario Galaxy, Resi4, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Rayman Raving Rabbits etc etc.

Wait 'till Sadness and Mario Kart AND Smash Bros Brawl are released. It's definetly not a waste of money if you know where to spend your money on.

yea well, Zelda TP was alright, but for me it was trying to be Oot too much and just failed. I didn't have that Zelda magic you know? I've still too buy Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3. Those are on my hit list. But at the moment I just find my 360 way more entertaining. Brawl comes out in February, then what after and before that? There isn't anything I see myself personally enjoying.

Then why bought it in the first place, instead of hiring it?

Welllllll mate for starters my girlfriend went halfers with me, so I only actually paid £100 for it haha. Like I said before I love nintendo and who doesn't love Zelda, I wanted too play that shit so much and I'm not going too lie and say it it was awesome because it dissapointed me .

There are 3 games on the horizion I would enjoy i.e. metroid, mario and Brawl. But I don't see anything past that, what other franchises have we got left? . Nintendo just seems too be turning everything into party games and shit.

I wait till the release of the new Mario Kart and if it´s good as the Super Nintendo one [Not the n64 one] , I will buy a Wii.

But I baught metroid the otther day and I must say, it's fucking good :D. Much better than the 2nd one (so far at least).

So I think I MAY keep the wii. There must be some new franchises on the horizion or some shit. I mean come on N64 was a revolutionary console, it had the anologue stick. It gave us 3D platformers from which all present and future games are compared too. The Gamecube braught Metroid into 3D and created one the best games ever made with Metroid Prime.......

What about the Wii? So far nothing revolutionary has happend. The remote is a good idea and I love the way metroid handles, all FPS's on consoles should play like it. It's fucking fun. But it's still a bit gimiky. The remote doesn't work as well as you would have liked does it?

Hmmm, well I have both a Wii and a 360 and I find myself enjoying the Wii more. I'm 21, so I don't think the Wii is geared towards children completely. I mean, have you played Mario Galaxy to 120 stars? Some of the final challenges are INCREDIBLY hard. No kid would ever be able to do them. I think Xbox markets to kids, teens in particular, more than any other system. There's really nothing but Halo-type gears of war badass dudes with guns games. I get tired of it sometimes, because it's obvious they're marketing to teens. Wii is more of an everybody system (if you're comfortable enough in your masculinity to play a game that doesn't have huge dudes with guns )

I am the kind of guy (25 yrs old) that has a HDTV, surround sound speakers and a Wii is not essential for me.

I have a ps3 and xbox 360 (with the HD-DVD add on) and both systems are used for playing and for watching HD movies. My biggest complaint about the Wii is the lack of HD graphics (480i does not work for me). The exclusive Wii games are good (Mario Kart, Smash bros, the mario soccer game and metroid), the games that are released in multiple consoles usually score lower on the wii than on the 360 or ps3.

Think about it, Call of Duty 3 and Splinter Cell were released in all consoles, yet the wii versions sucked ass big time (although there are a couple of games like RE4 which are better on wii). Also, what is the deal with the gay games on Wii? (Dancing with the stars? get the fuck out of here!).

Anyway, I will get a wii in 2 yrs or so whenever the console is $149 and when all the Mario games are $30. GTA 4, COD4, Halo 3, Ratchet and Clank, etc will keep me pretty busy in the future...
