If i'm not mistaken.. it's allowed as long as their not "recognisable" in any way (completely torn apart and edited, detuned, reversed etc...) ? What about sampling movies (i.e. Dialogue Snipets from "The Warriors") ???

no samples at all,
no prodigy, no other artists, no moviez, just your stuff
is not a commercial release, but you never know

Alrighty then... but let's say that i took a guitar sample.. and splitted up the notes being played... and rearranged them into "my" own melody... and detuned and equalized them a little bit.... isnt that complex creation..."mine"??
I'm talking about using samples as "clay" for creating new sounds, new samples.. my own stuff... as opposed to simply being a Xerox Sampling machine and steal vocal x from track y and feeding it into track z....
Surely this process is allowed??? (And i've heard more than a few uses of this process in tracks published in the Jilted
Generation comps...)

If you think that the sample is not noticable then
But if it is then.. red card and u're off the comp.
game over man..game over.

just don't make a tune that sounds a remix, a tune with the Break & Enter beats, or something like Voodoo 2008

No worries.. sounds pretty good (if i may brag myself...) and completely unnoticiable!!! No Prodigy related samples.. nor is it a remix either... check the demo yourselves... does it pass the test?

Being a demo... it sounds terribly simplistic and underproduced.. you've been warned...

It reminds me of Wake Up Call (bass) and Razor (inital hook).

Guess those elements crept subreptiously from the back of my brain???
I actually had Amon Tobin's Sordid track in my mind as an inspiration while making it
oh dear.. back to the drawing board? Too close for comfort? What you guys say?

The fact is that everyone will find a snippet or two to relate to the Prodigy somehow, in EVERY contest track. This is because Liam used most of the tricks known in the book, there's hardly anything he hasn't tried.
