'cause prodigy never forward a pop way (do you remember 1998 and 2000?) and they didn't want write new album like FOTL because it will be automacly COMMERCIAL album.
Did you remember the deal with Madonna? When Madonna wanted that Liam write music for her...
Liam is big liar, he changed his own opinion about band and money. Before he hated ANY commercial things (like TV/commercial stuff) and now he play NOT for russian fans, he plays for Politics.

Anyway I like Prodigy and I'll visite their gigs, but I'm wondered of this gig.

the whole underground-commercial theme is getting old...
who cares if they make a buck? As long as the music isn't written to generate as much money as possible, I'm happy.

Music that is written against commercialism usually sounds as bland as commercial music. It's (money that is) just something that shouldn't matter in ANY way when you write music.

The new site looks cheap and unprofessional. Just really really bad. They go from a cool looking Rockstar UK designed site to this? Fuck. Liam obviously wanted to save a penny by letting the site be "designed" for free by some relative kid of his.

right heres the deal:

number one: Liam didn't write a new album like TFOTL because he wanted to "Evolve" the music and when AONO came out girls was on the tv every five minutes so what ever you said bout him being non commercial is shit because the album was actually very commercial for a while

number two: liam rejected the offer of madonna because she was into a different style, liam write music for himself and the prodigy, not anyone else.

number three: Liam lies all the time (Get Used To It Fast) , liam done a gig for this modeling thing back in the late 90's so obviously what u herd about him not doing shit for money back then is bullshit.

number four: liam doesn't play for fucking politics, like untitled said, you guys have had a fucking gig every year so werever your getting the information that u russians get fuck all is unbelivable, i think your just a spoiled person with all these gigs u get every year and for some reason liam done a private V.I.P gig, and you throw your toys out the pram, sure he got paid for it, but i bet it felt good to get a break from the massive shit and do a little small gig the same way as he started and get paid.

i think i made my point clear now...

The rockstar designs may have been pretty to look at, but they were useless. Bad navigation, bad loading times, boring content. The best thing about them were the website loops, which became annoying after 5 minnutes anyway.

Indeed. I hate flashy websites that are cool to look up the first time you go on them, then annoying as hell each subsequent time you visit the site. People go to websites for INFORMATION. I don't know why bands (not just The Prodigy) don't understand this. When is so and so album out? When do they tour? What's their discography? Who's in the band? And so on and so on. Nobody gives a rats ass about some flash intro. This isn't 1998, nobody's impressed by it, and nobody wants to sit around for "100 seconds" while your overly flashy site loads. Victory Pill's website is wicked. Looks nice, yet simple and has all the info you could possibly need. Simpler is better! The new site is much better than the old one.

I agree.. The new site is great.. the photos section is propably the best they've ever had. The site is simple, it works and it's a pleasure to use.. I stopped visiting the old site 'cause it took so much time to get from one place to another and you could all the same info here

As a designer i agree that the old site was really bad navigation wise, i disagree about Flash sites as ive been building them for years and they have a purpose depending who you are and what your trying to say.

A standard css type site for the prodge is fine as long as its updated regulary, with these sites content is king and agree its great to just get to the information really quickly...

thats if theres information to look at and sadly after 'relaunching' their website all they have to offer is a few gigs and a record label title.

Why not of waited until they actually have something to say, just seemed like a big anti-climax as they could of easily stuck a few older tracks/demo's etc.. to please the fans
