Chrono Trigger on the old SNES. Wicked movie like soundtrack!
Way to get the emotions flowing!
Resident Evil for making me poo my pants back in 96!
And of course The Last Ninja Series on the C64!
The C64 could make some real crusty but cool old style synth sounds.
Street Fighter 2
Come on! who doesn't remeber Ken or Guile's theme music!?!?

Best videogame soundtraks ever:
Amon Tobin - Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (absolutely dark atmospheric stuff)
Wipeout 2097 Soundtrack (Compiles some of the best 90's Electronica)
Wipeout Pure Soundtrack (Compiles some of the best 00's Electronica)

Many composer try to create a cinematic atmosphere. But they were failed.
But not by Jesper Kyd soundtracks for Hitman and Splinter Cell 3.
The Main music in Hitman 1.The complete orchestral music in Hitman 2.A few of trakcs in Hitman 3, the best track ist the technotrack in the disco.
And the fourth soundtrack is the damage-destructor.Wooww amazing soundtrack.
I will upload the best titles of Hitman music very soon.
Giana Sisters is cool, too
