Last Friday I had a very nice dinner

for my birthday, I went (with my family) to a medieval-style restaurant (in English: "The Red Dragon Inn"), and I ate a very generous old-fashion chicken and creamy-cheese burger, accompanied with some sweet potato chips but also some spicy potato quarters

but it isn't all, 'cause by the end of the night, I was half drunk with:
- some very good lager before eating (edit)
- couple of sangria glasses when eating
- calvados shooter with the innkeeper right after eating
- and some... "Dragon Blood" at the end of the night (a very hot shooter I don't know the recipe**, but I know it includes Tabasco and its heated up)

memorable 8-)

**I'll give it to y'all if my brother gives it to me sometime

Not so much what I ate today as that was only a bowl of cereal, but the last 5 days have consisted of both copious amounts of junk food, and proper 3 course restaurant meals. On Thursday it was both Burger King and McDonald's, followed over the weekend by:

Large amounts of french fries,
about 5 Merguez (spicy sausage) or ham and cheese rolls
2 tubes of Pringles,
A dozen or so cans of Pepsi Max
8 litres of water
about 8 bars of chocolate
about 10 pints of strong German lager
3 three course meals in 3 different towns
3 pizzas
2 hotel breakfasts
and various snack-y type biscuits.

I feel like I've put on about 8lbs. Diet starts tomorrow..

All I've had today so far is a bowl of Shreddies + milk and a glass of blackberry & pear juice.
In about half an hour I'm going to have spaghetti with minced beef in a spicy tomato sauce, and no doubt a pint or two of cider.

It will be delicious.

I've rediscovered one of my great summer snacks from years ago:

French bread filled with mix of Dairylea cheese spread and grated cheddar cheese, then sprinkled with crushed Cheese Doritos.

Serve with a nice beer and salad (in that order).

It's great when the weather's hot like it was today. It's cheesylicious!

I've eaten virtually nothing today, because I've had a crippling stomach ache that's been coming and going since Wednesday night. It's like a sharp pain in my lower chest area. As a consequence I've also felt quite bloated cos I haven't been able to drop a single fart since last night. And I'm sure I'm a bit constipated too. (Sorry!)

But I have drunk about 3 litres of water. And a couple of bottles of Lucozade.

God I'm hungry.

I might try a cheese sandwich in a minute..
